Claims (15)
- 航空機の空気ユニットの冷却流体流路に異物が入ることを防ぐ粒子分離器であって、
前記冷却流体流路とは反対向きのラム空気流内に突出するように該冷却流体流路の端部に設けられた全体として円錐形の本体を有し、この円錐形の本体は、前記冷却流体流路に空気が流入可能となるように複数の同様の孔を含み、前記ラム空気流に対する前記円錐形の本体の側面の角度が、該ラム空気流によって該円錐形の本体の表面から異物が除去される角度に設けられていることを特徴とする粒子分離器。 - 前記円錐形の本体の前記側面の前記角度は、おおよそ25〜35°であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の粒子分離器。
- 前記側面の前記角度は、30°であることを特徴とする請求項2記載の粒子分離器。
- 前記全体として円錐形の本体は、粗いメッシュ材料で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の粒子分離器。
- 前記孔は、約1/16〜1/12平方インチの断面積を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の粒子分離器。
- 前記孔は、正方形であり、約1/16平方インチの断面積を有することを特徴とする請求項5記載の粒子分離器。
- 前記孔は、5ミクロンより大きい異物が前記冷却流体流路に入ることを防ぐことを特徴とする請求項1記載の粒子分離器。
- 航空機の空気ユニットに異物が入ることを防ぐシステムであって、
ラム入口ヘッダと、
ラム入口ヘッダの壁に取り付けられ、冷却流体流路の一部を画成する第1の端部を有する逆J字管と、
前記冷却流体流路に異物が入ることを防ぐように前記逆J字管の第1の端部に着脱可能に取り付けられるとともに、前記冷却流体流路に空気が流入可能となるように複数の同様の孔を含む粒子分離器であって、前記冷却流体流路とは反対向きのラム空気流内に突出する全体として円錐形状を有し、該ラム空気流によって表面から異物が除去される粒子分離器と、を有するシステム。 - 前記ラム空気流に対する前記粒子分離器の円錐形状の側面の角度は、約25〜35°であることを特徴とする請求項8記載のシステム。
- 前記側面の前記角度は、30°であることを特徴とする請求項9記載のシステム。
- 前記粒子分離器は、複数の孔を含むことを特徴とする請求項8記載のシステム。
- 前記粒子分離器は、粗いメッシュ材料で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項11記載のシステム。
- 前記孔は、約1/16〜1/12平方インチの断面積を有することを特徴とする請求項11記載のシステム。
- 前記孔は正方形であり、約1/16平方インチの断面積を有することを特徴とする請求項13記載のシステム。
- 前記孔は、5ミクロンよりも大きい異物が前記冷却流体流路に入ることを防ぐことを特徴とする請求項11記載のシステム。
