Description
本出願は、2010年4月19日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/325,784号の優先権を主張し、同出願は参照によりその全体が本明細書に明示的に組み込まれる。
(1) 神経血管用途用の薄型誘導カテーテルであって、
前記カテーテルの長さの少なくとも一部分に沿って容易に屈曲する、薄型で非円形断面形状を有する少なくとも1つのルーメンを画定する、前記カテーテルの長さに沿って延在する細長い壁構造物と、
直線的に可撓性であり、周囲方向には比較的非可撓性であり、かつ圧潰及びよじれが起きにくい、前記細長い壁構造物の少なくとも一部分に沿った誘導壁部と、を含む、薄型誘導カテーテル。
(2) 前記非円形断面形状が楕円形である、実施態様1に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
(3) 前記細長い壁構造物が、前記壁の中の編組材料から更に構成される、実施態様1に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
(4) 前記細長い壁構造物が、前記壁の中のコイルから更に構成される、実施態様1に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
(5) 前記コイルが細長いコイルを含み、該コイルの軸は、前記壁構造物の長手方向軸に平行である、実施態様4に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
(6) 最も内側のルーメンを画定する前記細長い壁構造物の一部分が、動脈の遠位部におけるワイヤー交換過程を最適化するために、滑らかな内側表面を有する、実施態様1に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
(7) 前記細長い壁構造物が、1つのルーメンを画定する、実施態様6に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
(8) 前記滑らかな内側表面が、前記細長い壁構造物上のコーティングによって提供される、実施態様6に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
(9) 前記滑らかな内側表面が、ポリテトラフルオロエチレンによって提供される、実施態様8に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
(10) 前記カテーテルが、血管外傷を最小限に抑えるように選択された弾性ポリマー材料を含む、セグメント化された、次第に柔軟になる遠位先端設計の遠位端を有する、実施態様1に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
(12) 前記カテーテルが、前記コイルを封入するために、滑らかな親水性外側コーティングを備えるポリマー材料を含む外部表面を有する、実施態様4に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
(13) 前記細長い壁構造物が、複数の医療デバイスを中に収容するように構成された最も内側のルーメンを画定する、実施態様1に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
(14) 神経血管用途用の薄型誘導カテーテルであって、
前記カテーテルの長さの少なくとも一部分に沿って比較的容易に屈曲する、薄型で非円筒形の断面形状を有する少なくとも1つのルーメンを画定する、前記カテーテルの長さに沿って延在する細長い外側壁構造物を含み、前記誘導カテーテルは、第1のフレンチサイズの遠位端と、医療デバイスの近位端と嵌合するように構成された近位端とを有し、第2のフレンチサイズの前記医療デバイスの前記近位端は、前記第1のフレンチサイズよりも大きい、薄型誘導カテーテル。
(15) 前記細長い壁構造物の内壁が、2つ又は3つ以上の医療送達マイクロカテーテルを中に嵌入するように構成された内部ルーメンを画定する、実施態様14に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
(16) 前記薄型誘導カテーテルの最も内側のルーメンの中に配置される少なくとも2つのマイクロカテーテルを更に含む、実施態様15に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
(17) 神経脈管構造内部の不具合の治療を目的とした少なくとも1つの血管内介入装置の送達中の外傷を最小限に抑える方法であって、
前記神経脈管構造内に薄型誘導カテーテルを挿入することであって、該薄型誘導カテーテルは、前記カテーテルの長さの少なくとも一部分に沿って容易に屈曲する、薄型で非円形断面形状を有する少なくとも1つのルーメンを画定する、前記カテーテルの長さに沿って延在する細長い壁構造物と、該細長い壁構造物の少なくとも一部分に沿った誘導壁部とを含み、該誘導壁部は、直線的に可撓性であり、周囲方向には比較的非可撓性であり、かつ圧潰及びよじれが起きにくい、ことと、
前記薄型誘導カテーテルの前記細長い壁構造物によって画定されるルーメンを通して血管内介入装置を送達することと、を含む、方法。
Claims (10)
- 神経血管用途用の薄型誘導カテーテルであって、
前記カテーテルの長さの少なくとも一部分に沿って容易に屈曲する、薄型で平らにされた長円断面形状を有する1つのルーメンを画定する、前記カテーテルの長さに沿って延在する細長い壁構造物と、
直線的に可撓性であり、周囲方向には比較的非可撓性であり、かつ圧潰及びよじれが起きにくい、前記細長い壁構造物の少なくとも一部分に沿った誘導壁部と、を含み、
前記カテーテルは、対向する平行な内壁部分と、前記対向する平行な内壁部分のそれぞれから延びる対向する半円形の内壁部分を有し、
前記対向する平行な内壁部分および前記対向する半円形の内壁部分は、前記薄型で平らにされた長円断面形状を有する前記ルーメンを画定し、
前記ルーメンは、それぞれ円形断面形状を有する2つの医療デバイスを受容するように構成されており、
前記2つの医療デバイスが前記ルーメンに受容された際に、前記対向する半円形の内壁部分のそれぞれは、前記2つの医療デバイスのそれぞれの外周の一部に沿って配置されるように構成されている、
薄型誘導カテーテル。 - 前記細長い壁構造物が、前記壁の中の編組材料から更に構成される、請求項1に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
- 前記細長い壁構造物が、前記壁の中のコイルから更に構成される、請求項1に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
- 前記コイルが細長いコイルを含み、該コイルの軸は、前記壁構造物の長手方向軸に平行である、請求項3に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
- 最も内側のルーメンを画定する前記細長い壁構造物の一部分が、動脈の遠位部におけるワイヤー交換過程を最適化するために、滑らかな内側表面を有する、請求項1に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
- 前記滑らかな内側表面が、前記細長い壁構造物上のコーティングによって提供される、請求項5に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
- 前記滑らかな内側表面が、ポリテトラフルオロエチレンによって提供される、請求項6に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
- 前記カテーテルが、血管外傷を最小限に抑えるように選択された弾性ポリマー材料を含む、セグメント化された、次第に柔軟になる遠位先端設計の遠位端を有する、請求項1に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
- 前記カテーテルが、前記編組材料を封入するために、滑らかな親水性外側コーティングを備えるポリマー材料を含む外部表面を有する、請求項2に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
- 前記カテーテルが、前記コイルを封入するために、滑らかな親水性外側コーティングを備えるポリマー材料を含む外部表面を有する、請求項3に記載の薄型誘導カテーテル。
