Description

本発明に従い、レンズの周辺部分の度数プロフィールを制御することにより、コンタクトレンズまたは有水晶体IOCレンズの周辺部分に光学制御を提供する。通常、レンズの中央部分にも光学制御を提供するものの、本発明は、主としてレンズの周辺部分に関連するものであることから、レンズの中央部分の度数プロフィールについて、本発明が制限されることはない。中央および周辺部分の境界における本発明のレンズの度数プロフィールは、図3および4を参照しながら下記に詳細に記載するように、所望または選択した視覚矯正をレンズが提供することを確実にするために必須である一定の境界条件を満たす。
Claims (8)
- 周辺視覚像が眼の網膜に対して焦点を結ぶ位置を制御するためのソフトコンタクトレンズであって、
中心視覚像が眼の網膜に対して焦点を結ぶ位置を光学的に制御する度数プロフィールを有する、中央部分を通過する光線にわたって光学制御を提供する、少なくとも一つの光学ゾーンを有する中央部分と、
周辺視覚像が眼の網膜に対して焦点を結ぶ位置を光学的に制御する度数プロフィールを有する、周辺部分を通過する光線にわたって光学制御を提供する、少なくとも一つの光学ゾーンを有する周辺部分と、を含み、
中央部分が、ソフトコンタクトレンズの中心から外方向に中央部分の外周に向かい、3.5ミリメートル(mm)と4.0mmとの間である半径方向距離に延在し、周辺部分が、中央部分の外周が周辺部分に接する境界から周辺部分の外周まで、3.5mm〜4.0mmの半径方向距離に延在し、
中央部分の外周が周辺部分に接する境界において非連続的であり、関数の一次導関数を得ることができない、数学関数によって周辺部分の度数プロフィールが画定され、
中央部分の境界での度数プロフィールによって提供される光学度数と、周辺部分の境界での度数プロフィールによって提供される光学度数との相違が8.0ディオプター以内である、ソフトコンタクトレンズ。 - 中央部分の境界での度数プロフィールによって提供される光学度数と、周辺部分の境界での度数プロフィールによって提供される光学度数との相違が3.0ディオプター以内である、請求項1記載のソフトコンタクトレンズ。
- 数学関数が区分関数である、請求項1記載のソフトコンタクトレンズ。
- ソフトコンタクトレンズが人間の眼に装用されたとき、眼の成長の防止または抑制を助ける、周辺視覚像の近視的な焦点ずれを提供する、請求項1記載のソフトコンタクトレンズ。
- ソフトコンタクトレンズが人間の眼に装用されたとき、近視の作用を改善する、請求項1記載のソフトコンタクトレンズ。
- 眼の成長を防止または抑制することにより、近視を防止または抑制する、人間の眼に装用するソフトコンタクトレンズを製造するための方法であって、
設計するソフトコンタクトレンズの周辺部分のために度数プロフィールを選択する工程であって、周辺部分の度数プロフィールが、周辺視覚像が眼の網膜に対して焦点を結ぶ位置を光学的に制御し、ソフトコンタクトレンズが中央部分を有し、中央部分が、中心視覚像が眼の網膜に対して焦点を結ぶ位置を光学的に制御する度数プロフィールを有する、工程、および
中央部分および選択した度数プロフィールを有する周辺部分を有する、ソフトコンタクトレンズの設計を生成する工程、を含み、
中央部分が、ソフトコンタクトレンズの中心から外方向に中央部分の外周に向かい、3.5ミリメートル(mm)と4.0mmとの間である半径方向距離に延在し、周辺部分が、中央部分の外周が周辺部分に接する境界から周辺部分の外周まで、3.5mm〜4.0mmの半径方向距離に延在し、
中央部分の外周が周辺部分に接する境界において非連続的であり、関数の一次導関数を得ることができない、数学関数によって周辺部分の度数プロフィールが画定され、
