Description
本出願は、Wilsonらによる「Stentless Support Structure」と題される2005年5月27日出願の米国仮特許出願第60/685,349号と、Wilsonらによる「Stentless Support Structure」と題される2005年8月18日出願の米国仮特許出願第60/709,595号とに関連し、これらの優先権の利益を主張する。これらの出願は、本明細書において参考として援用される。本出願はまた、本出願と共に同日に本出願人によって出願された「Intravascular Cuff」と題される米国特許出願第 号と、「Intravascular Cuff」と題される2005年5月27日出願の米国仮特許出願第60/685,433号とを参考として援用する。

支持構造を移植する方法であって、
(a)カテーテルの内側において細長い状態の支持構造を、標的部位に経皮的に送達することと、
(b)該支持構造の第1の部分が該カテーテルの外側に拡張するように、該支持構造に対して該カテーテルを引き込むことと、
(c)第1の折り返しが該第1の部分と該第2の部分との間に作成されるように、該第1の部分の中に該支持構造の第2の部分を前進させることと、
(d)該第2の部分が該第1の部分の内側に対して拡張するまで、該第2の部分に対して該カテーテルを引き込み、それにより複数の層の支持構造を作成することと、
(e)追加の層が所望される場合には、該ステップ(c)と該ステップ(d)とを繰り返すことと、
(f)該支持構造を解放し、該カテーテルを該標的部位から移動することと
を包含する、方法。

前記第1の部分の該近位側が拡張し、該標的部位の該生来の組織に接触するまで、該支持構造に対して該カテーテルを引き込むことと
を包含する、項目26に記載の方法。

前記支持構造の前記第1の部分が、該カテーテルの外側に拡張するように、前記支持構造に対して前記カテーテルを引き込むことは、該支持構造の該第1の部分が、前記標的部位の生来の組織に対して該カテーテルの外側に拡張するように、該支持構造に対して該カテーテルを引き込むことを包含する、項目25に記載の方法。
(項目29)
前記ステップ(b)は、前記支持構造の前記第1の部分が、弁組織、血管組織、および心臓組織からなる群に属する生来の組織に対して拡張するように、該支持構造に対して前記カテーテルを引き込むことを包含する、項目25に記載の方法。
図12において、さらなる材料がカテーテル28から排出され、その結果、第3層34が、第2層に対して完全に拡張される。多数のさらなる層がこの方法で達成され得ることと、各層が結果としての支持構造10にさらなる半径方向の強度を加えることとを当業者は認識する。
Claims (20)

遠位端および近位端を有する本体と、
前記本体の前記近位端に取り付けられた弁と

それにより、第1の送達構成において、前記本体および前記弁は、前記本体および前記弁が相互に隣接している折り返されていない管状構造を形成し、
それにより、第2の配備された構成において、前記管状構造は、前記弁が少なくとも部分的に前記本体内に含まれるように、折り返される、弁アセンブリ。 - 前記弁は、
ワイヤフォームと、
前記ワイヤフォームに取り付けられた非生来の組織と
を含む、請求項1に記載の弁アセンブリ。 - 前記本体は、編み込まれたワイヤを含む、請求項2に記載の弁アセンブリ。
- 前記ワイヤフォームは、前記本体の編み込みに取り付けられている、請求項3に記載の弁アセンブリ。
- 前記本体は、管状本体を形成するように編み込まれた少なくとも1つのストランドを含む、請求項1に記載の弁アセンブリ。
- 前記本体は、少なくとも1つの折り返しを含む、請求項1に記載の弁アセンブリ。
- 前記ワイヤフォームは、弓形部分によって分離される接続点を含む、請求項2に記載の弁アセンブリ。
- 前記弓形部分は、前記本体の内側面に取り付けられている、請求項7に記載の弁アセンブリ。

前記弁アセンブリは、
折り返されていない伸ばされた状態と、送達された配備された折り返された状態とを有するメッシュ支持構造と、
弁と
を含み、
前記弁は、
前記メッシュ支持構造の近位端に接続されたワイヤフォームと、
前記弁を形成するように前記ワイヤフォームに取り付けられた材料と
を含み、
前記伸ばされた状態の構成において、前記弁は、前記メッシュ支持構造から軸方向にはずされ、
前記メッシュ支持構造が前記送達デバイスから配備されたときに、前記メッシュ支持構造の遠位部分が、送達デバイスを出ると、拡張し、近位部分が、次いで、前記近位部分が前記送達デバイスを出るときに、前記遠位部分の中へと折り返る、弁アセンブリ。 - 前記折り返ることにより、配備されたときに前記ワイヤフォームおよび前記弁を少なくとも部分的に前記支持構造の内部に配置させる、請求項11に記載の弁アセンブリ。
- 前記ワイヤフォームは、前記支持構造の編み込みに接続されている、請求項11に記載の弁アセンブリ。
- 前記支持構造は、前記折り返された構成において2層を含む、請求項11に記載の弁アセンブリ。
- 前記支持構造は、さらに、前記折り返された構成において前記層の間に捕らえられた材料を含む、請求項14に記載の弁アセンブリ。
- 前記メッシュ支持構造は、前記第1端と反対の第2端を含み、前記第2端は、カテーテルから配備されたときにカフを形成するように自身の上にカールして戻る折り返された端を含む、請求項11に記載の弁アセンブリ。
- 前記カフは、前記支持構造中に血液を送り込む漏斗形状を含む、請求項16に記載の弁アセンブリ。
- 生来の弁を置換するためのシステムであって、
前記システムは、折り返されていない伸ばされた状態と、配備された折り返された状態とを有する管状構造を含み、前記管状構造は、生来の弁の弁葉状部間に導入されるように構成された一長さの材料を含み、前記管状構造は、前記材料の近位端に取り付けられた補綴弁を含み、前記管状構造は、自身の中に折り返して前記折り返された状態を形成するように構成され、
前記材料および前記補綴弁は、解放されるように構成され、
前記材料は、前記材料を前記伸ばされた状態に維持する送達デバイス内に提供され、
前記材料は、前記材料が前記送達デバイスから配備されたときに、前記伸ばされた状態から前記折り返された状態へと遷移するように構成される、システム。 - 前記管状構造を自身の中に折り返すことにより、前記補綴弁が前記材料内に位置する、請求項18に記載のシステム。
- 生来の弁の弁葉状部間に導入されるように構成された前記一長さの材料は、一長さの編み込まれたワイヤを含む、請求項18に記載のシステム。
