を有するアミノ化合物であって、式中、R1及びR2は独立に、1〜3個の炭素原子の低級アルキル基、例えば、メチル、エチル、プロピル、及びイソプロピル基を表し、さらに好ましいR1及びR2基としては、メチル及びエチル基が挙げられ、特に好ましいアミノ化合物としては、R1及びR2が両方ともメチル基である3−(ジメチルアミノ)−1,2−プロパンジオール、及び、R1及びR2が両方ともエチル基である3−(ジエチルアミノ)−1,2−プロパンジオールが挙げられる、アミノ化合物と;(ii)好ましくは0.1〜15重量パーセントの量のピペラジンと;さらに(iii)随意に、物理溶媒であって、好ましくはシクロテトラメチレンスルホン、ポリエチレングリコールのジメチルエーテル、1,3−ジメチル−3,4,5,6−テトラヒドロ−2(1H)−ピリミジノン、N−ホルミルモルフォリン、N−アセチルモルフォリン、トリエチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル、又はそれらの混合物から選択される物理溶媒と、を含み、ここで、重量パーセントはアルカノールアミン水溶液の全重量を基準とし、前記アルカノールアミン水溶液は、pKaが8以下の酸、又はpKaが8以下の酸を水性媒質中で発生することが可能な酸形成物質を含有しない。
R1R2NCH2CH(OH)CH2OH (1)
を有し、R1及びR2は独立に、1〜3個の炭素原子の低級アルキル基、例えば、メチル、エチル、プロピル、及びイソプロピル基を表す。さらに好ましいR1及びR2基としては、メチル及びエチル基が挙げられる。特に好ましいアミノ化合物としては、R1及びR2が両方ともメチル基である3−(ジメチルアミノ)−1,2−プロパンジオール、並びに、R1及びR2が両方ともエチル基である3−(ジエチルアミノ)−1,2−プロパンジオールが挙げられる。
実施例1〜9は、アルカノールアミン、脱イオン化した水、及び随意に第2のアミンを含むアミン吸収剤水溶液であり、量は、吸収剤組成物の全重量を基準にした重量部である。4.2パーセントのH2S、16パーセントのCO2、及び79.8パーセントのN2を含有する合成混合物を含み、ここでパーセントは体積パーセントであり、このガスの流れを、パイロット規模の吸収器の中で処理して、H2S及びCO2を除去する。各アミン吸収剤水溶液については、ガスの流れは三つの異なった流動速度で処理する。実施例1〜9に関する、組成物、工程パラメータ、及び残留するH2S及びCO2のレベルを、表1に列挙する。表1では:
「DGA」は、アクロスオーガニクス社(Acros Organics)から購入可能な、98%の2−(2−アミノエトキシ)エタノール;
「MDEA」は、ダウケミカル社から購入可能な、98%のメチルジエタノールアミン;そして
「DMAPD」は、AKサイエンティフィック社(AK Scientific)から購入可能な、98%の3−ジメチルアミノ−1,2−プロパンジオール;
「ピペラジン(Piperazine)」は、アルドリッチケミカル社(Aldrich Chemical)から購入可能な、99%のピペラジンである。
(態様1)
硫化水素を含有するガス混合物から、硫化水素を含めた酸性ガスを除去するアルカノールアミン水溶液であって
(i)式:
R 1 R 2 NCH 2 CH(OH)CH 2 OH
を有し、式中、R 1 及びR 2 は独立に、メチル、エチル、プロピル、又はイソプロピル基を表すアミノ化合物と、
(ii)ピペラジンと、
を含み、前記アルカノールアミン水溶液が、8以下のpKaを有する酸、又は8以下のpKaを有する酸を水性溶媒中で形成することが可能な酸形成物質を含有しない水溶液。
(態様2)
態様1に記載のアルカノールアミン水溶液であって、
(i)前記アミノ化合物が、0.1〜75重量パーセントの量で存在し、そして
(ii)前記ピペラジンが、0.1〜15重量パーセントの量で存在し、
重量パーセントが、前記アルカノールアミン水溶液の全重量を基準とする水溶液。
(態様3)
前記アミノ化合物(i)が、3−(ジメチルアミノ)−1,2−プロパンジオール、又は3−(ジエチルアミノ)−1,2−プロパンジオールである、態様1に記載のアルカノールアミン水溶液。
(態様4)
さらに、
(iii)物理溶媒
を含む、態様1に記載のアルカノールアミン水溶液。
(態様5)
前記物理溶媒(iii)が、シクロテトラメチレンスルホン、ポリエチレングリコールのジメチルエーテル、1,3−ジメチル−3,4,5,6−テトラヒドロ−2(1H)−ピリミジノン、N−ホルミルモルフォリン、N−アセチルモルフォリン、トリエチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル、又はそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、態様4に記載のアルカノールアミン水溶液。
(態様6)
ガス混合物から酸性ガスを除去する処理方法であって、前記ガス混合物を、態様1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のアルカノールアミン水溶液と接触させるステップを含む処理方法。
(態様7)
前記アルカノールアミン水溶液を水蒸気ストリッピングするステップをさらに含み、酸性ガスの希薄なアルカノールアミン水溶液を形成して、前記接触させるステップで使用可能とする、態様6に記載の処理方法。
(態様8)
前記アルカノールアミン水溶液の温度が140°F以上である、態様6に記載の処理方法。
Claims (8)
- 硫化水素を含有するガス混合物から、硫化水素を含めた酸性ガスを除去するアルカノールアミン水溶液であって
(i)式:
R1R2NCH2CH(OH)CH2OH
を有し、式中、R1及びR2は独立に、メチル、エチル、プロピル、又はイソプロピル基を表すアミノ化合物と、
(ii)ピペラジンと、
を含み、前記アルカノールアミン水溶液が、8以下のpKaを有する酸、又は8以下のpKaを有する酸を水性溶媒中で形成することが可能な酸形成物質を含有せず、
前記アミノ化合物(i)が、3−(ジメチルアミノ)−1,2−プロパンジオールである水溶液。 - 請求項1に記載のアルカノールアミン水溶液であって、
(i)前記アミノ化合物が、0.1〜75重量パーセントの量で存在し、そして
(ii)前記ピペラジンが、0.1〜15重量パーセントの量で存在し、
重量パーセントが、前記アルカノールアミン水溶液の全重量を基準とする水溶液。 - 請求項1に記載のアルカノールアミン水溶液であって、
(i)前記アミノ化合物が、20〜50重量パーセントの量で存在し、そして
(ii)前記ピペラジンが、2〜10重量パーセントの量で存在し、
重量パーセントが、前記アルカノールアミン水溶液の全重量を基準とする水溶液。
- さらに、
(iii)物理溶媒
を含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載のアルカノールアミン水溶液。 - 前記物理溶媒(iii)が、シクロテトラメチレンスルホン、ポリエチレングリコールのジメチルエーテル、1,3−ジメチル−3,4,5,6−テトラヒドロ−2(1H)−ピリミジノン、N−ホルミルモルフォリン、N−アセチルモルフォリン、トリエチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル、又はそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求項4に記載のアルカノールアミン水溶液。
- ガス混合物から酸性ガスを除去する処理方法であって、前記ガス混合物を、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のアルカノールアミン水溶液と接触させるステップを含む処理方法。
- 前記アルカノールアミン水溶液を水蒸気ストリッピングするステップをさらに含み、酸性ガスの希薄なアルカノールアミン水溶液を形成して、前記接触させるステップで使用可能とする、請求項6に記載の処理方法。
- 前記アルカノールアミン水溶液の温度が60℃(140°F)以上である、請求項6に記載の処理方法。
