Claims (19)
- a)(i)過酢酸と(ii)クエン酸、イソクエン酸、アコニット酸およびプロパン−1,2,3−トリカルボン酸からなる群から選択される安定剤とを含む殺菌組成物を提供する工程;
b)発熱表面上において、前記殺菌組成物を、前記発熱表面によって発生させた加熱ガス状気流に導入して過酢酸蒸気を生成する工程;および
c)前記過酢酸蒸気と殺菌する材料とを接触させる工程を含み、
前記発熱表面上において、前記殺菌組成物からの残渣のビルドアップを最小化することを特徴とする材料の殺菌方法。 - 前記過酢酸は、前記殺菌組成物中約15−約17重量%の濃度で存在し;前記安定剤は、前記殺菌組成物中約0.75−約1.5重量%の量で存在することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の材料の殺菌方法。
- 前記安定剤は、前記殺菌組成物中約0.9−約1.25重量%の量で存在することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の材料の殺菌方法。
- 前記安定剤は、前記殺菌組成物中約1.0−約1.2重量%の量で存在することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の材料の殺菌方法。
- 前記安定剤は、クエン酸であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の材料の殺菌方法。
- 前記安定剤は、クエン酸であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の材料の殺菌方法。
- 前記安定剤は、クエン酸であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の材料の殺菌方法。
- 前記安定剤は、クエン酸であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の材料の殺菌方法。
- 前記材料は、金属、プラスチック、ポリマー、およびエラストマーからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の材料の殺菌方法。
- 前記過酢酸は、加熱ガス状気流に導入される前に10,000ppm未満の濃度に希釈されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の材料の殺菌方法。
- 前記過酢酸は、加熱ガス状気流に導入される前に4,000ppm未満の濃度に希釈されることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の材料の殺菌方法。
- 前記加熱ガス状気流は無菌空気であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の材料の殺菌方法。
- 前記加熱ガス状気流は、窒素、二酸化炭素および稀ガスからなる群から選択されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の材料の殺菌方法。
- 前記加熱ガス状気流は、前記過酢酸の導入前に約250℃を超える温度に加熱されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の材料の殺菌方法。
- 前記加熱ガス状気流は、前記過酢酸の導入前に約250℃を超える温度に加熱され、続いて約80℃−約120℃の温度に冷却されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の材料の殺菌方法。
- 前記加熱ガス状気流の温度は、前記過酢酸の露点より少なくとも約5℃高いことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の材料の殺菌方法。
- 前記過酢酸蒸気と前記殺菌する材料の接触は、約15分−約40分の間保持されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の材料の殺菌方法。
- 前記殺菌組成物は、クロロ過安息香酸、過ヘプタン酸、過オクタン酸、過デカン酸、過ギ酸、過クエン酸、過グリコール酸、過乳酸および過安息香酸からなる群から選択される1つ以上の付加酸化剤をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の材料の殺菌方法。
- 前記過酢酸は、過酢酸:過酸化水素:酢酸を重量比で12−18:21−24:5−20; 15:10:36; 5:23:10および35:10:15からなる群から選択される水状の平衡組成物の形態であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の材料の殺菌方法。
