Description
有機発光デバイスにおける特定の層に有用である、本明細書に記載の材料は、デバイスに存在する種々の他の材料と組み合わせて用いられてよい。例えば、本明細書に開示されている発光ドーパントは、存在していてよい種々のホスト、輸送層、ブロック層、注入層、電極および他の層と併せて用いられてよい。以下に記載または称される材料は、本明細書に開示されている化合物と組み合わせて有用であり得る材料の非限定的な例であり、当業者は、組み合わせて有用であり得る他の材料を特定するための文献を容易に閲覧することができる。
本発明において用いられる正孔注入/輸送材料は特に限定されず、正孔注入/輸送材料として典型的に用いられる限りにおいていずれの化合物が用いられてもよい。材料の例として、限定されないが:フタロシアニンまたはポルフィリン誘導体;芳香族アミン誘導体;インドロカルバゾール誘導体;フッ化炭化水素を含有するポリマー;導電ドーパントを有するポリマー;導電性ポリマー、例えばPEDOT/PSS;ホスホン酸およびシラン誘導体などの化合物から誘導される自己集合モノマー;金属酸化物誘導体、例えばMoOx;p型半導体有機化合物、例えば、1,4,5,8,9,12−ヘキサアザトリフェニレンヘキサカルボニトリル;金属錯体、ならびに架橋性化合物が挙げられる。
本発明の有機ELデバイスの発光層は、発光材料として少なくとも金属錯体を好ましくは含有し、ドーパント材料として金属錯体を用いたホスト材料を含有していてもよい。ホスト材料の例は、特に限定されず、ホストの三重項エネルギーがドーパントの三重項エネルギーよりも大きい限りにおいて、いずれの金属錯体または有機化合物が用いられてもよい。以下の表は、種々の色を発するデバイスに好ましいとされるホスト材料を分類するが、三重項の基準が満たされる限りにおいて、いずれのホスト材料がいずれのドーパントと共に用いられてもよい。
正孔ブロック層(HBL)は、発光層を離れる正孔および/または励起子の数を低減するのに用いられ得る。デバイスにおいてかかるブロック層が存在することで、ブロック層を欠く同様のデバイスと比較して実質的により高い効率をもたらし得る。また、ブロック層は、発光をOLEDの所望の領域に制限するのに用いられ得る。
電子輸送層(ETL)は、電子を輸送することが可能である材料を含んでいてよい。電子輸送層は、固有のもの(非ドープ)であっても、ドープされていてもよい。ドーピングは、導電率を向上させるのに用いられ得る。ETL材料の例は特に限定されず、電子を輸送するのに典型的に用いられる限りにおいて、いずれの金属錯体または有機化合物が用いられてもよい。
Claims (14)
- 式:
式中、Mは、Irであり;
Lは、第2配位子であり;
mは、金属Mの最大配位数であり;
dは、Lの配座数であり;
nは、少なくとも1であり;
R1は、各配位子について独立して選択され、2、3、4、又は5置換を表し;
R1で置換されていないイソキノリン環の炭素原子はそれぞれその炭素原子の原子価を満たす水素原子を有しており;
前記2〜5個の置換基R1のそれぞれは、重水素、ハライド、アルキル、シクロアルキル、ヘテロアルキル、アリールアルキル、アルコキシ、アリールオキシ、アミノ、トリメチルシリル、トリエチルシリル、トリイソプロピルシリル、トリメチルゲルミル、トリエチルゲルミル、およびトリイソプロピルゲルミル、アルケニル、シクロアルケニル、ヘテロアルケニル、アルキニル、アリール、ヘテロアリール、アシル、カルボニル、カルボン酸、エステル、ニトリル、イソニトリル、スルファニル、スルフィニル、スルホニル、ホスフィノ、およびこれらの組み合わせからなる群から独立して選択され;
R1の少なくとも2つは、2〜6個の炭素を含有するアルキル、トリメチルシリル、トリエチルシリル、トリイソプロピルシリル、トリメチルゲルミル、トリエチルゲルミル、およびトリイソプロピルゲルミル、シクロアルキル、およびこれらの組み合わせから独立して選択され;
R2は、1、2、3、4置換、または非置換を表してよく;
各R2は、水素、重水素、ハライド、アルキル、シクロアルキル、ヘテロアルキル、アリールアルキル、アルコキシ、アリールオキシ、アミノ、シリル、アルケニル、シクロアルケニル、ヘテロアルケニル、アルキニル、アリール、ヘテロアリール、アシル、カルボニル、カルボン酸、エステル、ニトリル、イソニトリル、スルファニル、スルフィニル、スルホニル、ホスフィノ、およびこれらの組み合わせからなる群から独立して選択される;
を有する化合物からなる、有機発光デバイス用発光ドーパント材料。 - R1が2置換を表す、請求項1に記載の発光ドーパント材料。
- R1が2アルキル置換を表す、請求項1に記載の発光ドーパント材料。
- R1が、トリメチルシリル、トリエチルシリル、トリイソプロピルシリル、トリメチルゲルミル、トリエチルゲルミル、およびトリイソプロピルゲルミルから選択されるシリルまたはゲルミル置換を表す、請求項1に記載の発光ドーパント材料。
- R1が、CH(CH3)2、CH2CH(CH3)2、CH2C(CH3)3、シクロペンチル、シクロヘキシル、エチル、トリメチルシリル、トリエチルシリル、トリイソプロピルシリル、トリメチルゲルミル、トリエチルゲルミル、およびトリイソプロピルゲルミルからなる群から独立して選択される、請求項1に記載の発光ドーパント材料。
- nが2である、請求項1に記載の発光ドーパント材料。
- Lがモノアニオン性二座配位子である、請求項1に記載の発光ドーパント材料。
