Description
Claims (22)
- (a)第1の部分の燃焼室及び第2の部分の燃焼室に分割された複数の燃焼室であって、前記第1の部分の燃焼室における各燃焼室は第1の排出弁及び第2の排出弁を有し、前記第2の部分の燃焼室における各燃焼室は第3の排出弁及び第4の排出弁を有する、複数の燃焼室と、
(b)各燃焼室と関連する少なくとも1つの吸気弁と、
(c)前記複数の燃焼室にそれぞれの吸気弁を介して流体連通する少なくとも1つの吸気マニホールドと、
(d)前記第1の部分の燃焼室における各燃焼室に前記第1の排出弁及び前記第2の排出弁を介して流体連通する第1の排出マニホールドと、
(e)前記第2の部分の燃焼室における各燃焼室に前記第3の排出弁を介して流体連通する第2の排出マニホールドと、
(f)排出ガスを受けるために前記第2の部分の燃焼室における各燃焼室に前記第4の排出弁を介して流体連通し、且つ、排出ガスを供給するために前記少なくとも1つの吸気マニホールドに流体連通するEGRマニホールドと
を具える内燃機関用の排出ガス再循環(EGR)システム。 - 請求項1に記載の排出ガス再循環システムにおいて、この排出ガス再循環システムが更に、
(h)タービン及びコンプレッサを有するタービン‐コンプレッサ装置
を具えており、前記タービンは前記コンプレッサを駆動するものであり、前記タービンは第1の排出入口及び第2の排出入口を有し、前記第2の排出入口は前記第1の排出入口よりも小さい流量面積を有し、前記第1の排出マニホールドは前記第1の排出入口に流体連通しており、前記第2の排出マニホールドは前記第2の排出入口に流体連通しており、前記吸気マニホールドは前記コンプレッサと流体連通して、酸素を有する圧縮気体の混合体を受けるようになっている排出ガス再循環システム。 - 請求項2に記載の排出ガス再循環システムにおいて、この排出ガス再循環システムが更に、
(i)前記第2の排出マニホールドと前記第1の排出マニホールドとの間に存在し、前記第2の排出マニホールド及び前記EGRマニホールド内の圧力を低減させるように動作しうる圧力調整器
を具えている排出ガス再循環システム。 - 請求項2に記載の排出ガス再循環システムにおいて、この排出ガス再循環システムが更に、
(i)前記タービン後の排出流路内に設けられ、前記第1の排出マニホールドと、前記第2の排出マニホールドと、前記EGRマニホールドの背圧を変化させる圧力調整器を具えている排出ガス再循環システム。 - 請求項1に記載の排出ガス再循環システムにおいて、この排出ガス再循環システムが更に、
(h)EGRクーラ及びEGR弁
を具えており、前記EGRクーラは前記EGRマニホールドを前記EGR弁に連結しており、前記EGR弁は前記吸気マニホールドに流体連通している排出ガス再循環システム。 - 請求項1に記載の排出ガス再循環システムにおいて、前記第2の排出マニホールドの出口付近の配管がそれ自体に制限部を有している排出ガス再循環システム。
- 請求項2に記載の排出ガス再循環システムにおいて、この排出ガス再循環システムが更に、
(h)前記第2の排出マニホールドと前記タービンの前記第2の排出入口との間に圧力調整器
を具えている排出ガス再循環システム。 - 請求項1に記載の排出ガス再循環システムにおいて、この排出ガス再循環システムが更に、
(h)前記EGRマニホールドと前記第2の排出マニホールドとの間に圧力調整器
を具えている排出ガス再循環システム。 - 請求項1に記載の排出ガス再循環システムにおいて、前記第2の部分の燃焼室のそれぞれの燃焼室における前記第3の排出弁及び前記第4の排出弁がそれぞれ可変の弁駆動装置に連結されている排出ガス再循環システム。
- 請求項1に記載の排出ガス再循環システムにおいて、この排出ガス再循環システムが更に、
(h)前記EGRマニホールドから排出ガスを受けるためにこのEGRマニホールドに流体連通している入口と、前記吸気マニホールドと流体連通している出口とを有するリフォーミング触媒と、
(i)気体燃料を前記リフォーミング触媒の上流で前記排出ガス内に導入する燃料注入装置と
を具えている排出ガス再循環システム。 - 請求項1に記載の排出ガス再循環システムにおいて、この排出ガス再循環システムが更に、
(h)前記第1の排出マニホールド及び前記第2の排出マニホールドから排出ガスを受けるタービン‐コンプレッサ装置と、
(i)前記タービン‐コンプレッサ装置から圧縮空気を受ける吸気クーラと、
(j)前記EGRマニホールドと前記吸気クーラの上流との間の可調整弁であって、前記排出ガスが前記可調整弁を経て伝達されるとともに前記圧縮空気と混合されて混合体を形成し、この混合体を前記吸気クーラにより冷却されるようにした当該可調整弁と
を具える排出ガス再循環システム。 - 内燃機関における排出ガス再循環方法において、この排出ガス再循環方法が、
(a)前記内燃機関における燃焼室を第1の部分の燃焼室と第2の部分の燃焼室とに分割するステップであって、前記第1の部分の燃焼室における各燃焼室は第1の排出弁及び第2の排出弁を有し、前記第2の部分の燃焼室における各燃焼室は第3の排出弁及び第4の排出弁を有する、ステップと、
(b)前記第1の部分の燃焼室における各燃焼室から前記第1の排出弁及び前記第2の排出弁を介して第1の排出マニホールドに排出ガスを伝達させるステップと、
(c)前記第2の部分の燃焼室における各燃焼室から、前記第3の排出弁を介して第2の排出マニホールドに排出ガスを伝達させ、前記第4の排出弁を介してEGRマニホールドに排出ガスを伝達させるステップと、
(d)排出ガスを前記EGRマニホールドから少なくとも1つの吸気マニホールドに伝達させるステップと
を具える排出ガス再循環方法。 - 請求項12に記載の排出ガス再循環方法において、この排出ガス再循環方法が更に、
(e)前記第2の排出マニホールドからの排出ガスの流れを制限するステップ
を具えている排出ガス再循環方法。 - 請求項12に記載の排出ガス再循環方法において、この排出ガス再循環方法が更に、
(e)排出ガスを前記第1の排出マニホールドから第1のタービン入口に伝達させるステップと、
(f)排出ガスを前記第2の排出マニホールドから、前記第1のタービン入口よりも小さい流量面積を有する第2のタービン入口に伝達させるステップと、
(g)前記排出ガスにより前記タービンに与えられるエネルギーで酸素を有する気体の混合体を圧縮させるステップと
を具える排出ガス再循環方法。 - 請求項14に記載の排出ガス再循環方法において、この排出ガス再循環方法が更に、
(h)前記第2の排出マニホールドと前記第1の排出マニホールドとの間の圧力を調整するステップであって、前記第2の排出マニホールド内の前記排出ガスの一部を前記第1のタービン入口に向けて指向させるようにするステップ
を具えている排出ガス再循環方法。 - 請求項14に記載の排出ガス再循環方法において、この排出ガス再循環方法が更に、
(h)前記第2の排出マニホールドと前記第2のタービン入口との間の圧力を調整するステップ
を具えている排出ガス再循環方法。 - 請求項16に記載の排出ガス再循環方法において、この排出ガス再循環方法が更に、
(i)前記EGRマニホールドと前記少なくとも1つの吸気マニホールドとの間の圧力を調整するステップ
を具えている排出ガス再循環方法。 - 請求項12に記載の排出ガス再循環方法において、この排出ガス再循環方法が更に、
(e)前記EGRマニホールドと前記第2の排出マニホールドの出口との間の圧力を調整するステップ
を具えている排出ガス再循環方法。 - 請求項12に記載の排出ガス再循環方法において、この排出ガス再循環方法が更に、
(e)前記第3の排出弁及び前記第4の排出弁を可変駆動して前記第2の排出マニホールド内の圧力を制御することにより、EGRレートを調整するステップ
を具えている排出ガス再循環方法。 - 請求項12に記載の排出ガス再循環方法において、この排出ガス再循環方法が更に、
(e)炭化水素燃料を前記EGRマニホールドからの排出ガス内に導入することにより排出ガス‐燃料混合体を形成するステップと、
(f)前記排出ガス‐燃料混合体をリフォーミングして少なくとも水素を発生させるステップと、
(g)前記水素及び前記排出ガスを前記少なくとも1つの吸気マニホールドに伝達させるステップと
を具えている排出ガス再循環方法。 - 請求項12に記載の排出ガス再循環方法において、この排出ガス再循環方法が更に、
(e)前記排出ガス‐燃料混合体をリフォーミングして一酸化炭素を生ぜしめるステップ
を具えている排出ガス再循環方法。 - 請求項12に記載の排出ガス再循環方法において、この排出ガス再循環方法が更に、
(e)タービン‐コンプレッサ装置により吸気を圧縮させて圧縮吸気を形成するステップと、
(f)排出ガスを前記圧縮吸気と混合して混合体を形成するステップと、
(g)前記排出ガスと前記圧縮吸気との前記混合体を前記少なくとも1つの吸気マニホールドに導入する前にこの混合体を冷却するステップと
を具えている排出ガス再循環方法。
