Description
正極2は、帯状の正極集電体の両面に、正極活物質層を形成して成る。正極集電体としては、例えばアルミニウム箔等の金属箔が用いられる。正極活物質層は、リチウムイオンを吸蔵放出可能な正極活物質を含有する。
負極3は、帯状の負極集電体の両面に、負極活物質層を形成して成る。負極集電体としては、例えば銅箔等の金属箔が用いられる。負極活物質層は、リチウムイオンを吸蔵放出可能な負極活物質を含有する。
反応面積=負極活物質層のBET比表面積×負極活物質層の重量・・・[式1]
セパレータ4としては、ポリエチレンやポリプロピレン等のポリオレフィン樹脂を主成分とする微多孔膜等が用いられる。微多孔膜は、単独で単層膜として用いてもよいし、複数を組み合わせて複合膜として用いてもよい。また、微多孔膜は、各種の可塑剤、酸化防止剤、難燃剤等の添加剤を適量含有していてもよい。
電解液としては、4−フルオロ−1,3−ジオキソラン−2−オン(FEC、フルオロエチレンカーボネートともいう)を含有する非水溶媒が用いられる。非水溶媒にはFEC以外の溶媒として、エチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)、ジメチルカーボネート(DMC)、ジエチルカーボネート(DEC)、ジフェニルカーボネート等の鎖状カーボネート、エチレンカーボネート、プロピレンカーボネート、ブチレンカーボネート、クロロエチレンカーボネート、ビニレンカーボネート、スチレンカーボネート、カテコールカーボネート、ビニルエチレンカーボネート、1−フェニルビニレンカーボネート、1,2−ジフェニルビニレンカーボネート等の環状カーボネート、γ−ブチロラクトン、γ−バレロラクトン、プロピオラクトン等の環状エステル、酢酸メチル、酪酸メチル等の鎖状エステル、1,3−ジオキサン、ジメトキシエタン、ジエトキシエタン、メトキシエトキシエタン、メチルジグライム等のエーテル類、アセトニトリル、ベンゾニトリル等のニトリル類、テトラヒドロフランまたはその誘導体、ジオキサランまたはその誘導体等が1種類または複数種類含まれていてもよい。なお、フルオロエチレンカーボネートの代わりに、4,4−ジフルオロ−1,3−ジオキソラン−2−オン(4,4−ジフルオロエチレンカーボネート)、cis−4,5−ジフルオロ−1,3−ジオキソラン−2−オン4(シス−4,5−ジフルオロエチレンカーボネート)、trans−4,5−ジフルオロ−1,3−ジオキソラン−2−オン4(トランス−4,5−ジフルオロエチレンカーボネート)、トリフルオロエチレンカーボネート、テトラフルオロエチレンカーボネートを用いてもよい。
次に、作製した各二次電池の500サイクル後の容量保持率を評価した。そのために、まずは各二次電池の初期容量と、サイクル試験後の容量とを測定した。

Claims (6)
- 正極活物質として組成式LixMO2、またはLiyM2O 4 (ただし、Mは1種類以上の遷移金属、0≦x≦1、0≦y≦2)で表される複合酸化物を含む正極と、負極と、電解液とを備える非水電解質二次電池であって、
前記負極はグラファイトを含む負極活物質層(但し、シリコン(Si)粒子を含む場合を除く)を含み、前記電解液はフルオロエチレンカーボネートを含有し、
前記フルオロエチレンカーボネートの含有量(mg)をXとし、前記負極活物質層の反応面積(m 2 )をYとしたときに、前記非水電解質二次電池の作製時において、
10≦(X/Y)≦100
の関係を満たす、非水電解質二次電池。 - 前記電解液中における前記フルオロエチレンカーボネートの含有量が12.2重量%以下である、請求項1に記載の非水電解質二次電池。
- 前記電解液は、前記フルオロエチレンカーボネートよりも還元電位の低い溶媒を含有する請求項1または2に記載の非水電解質二次電池。
- 前記フルオロエチレンカーボネートよりも還元電位の低い溶媒は、エチルメチルカーボネートである請求項3に記載の非水電解質二次電池。
- 前記エチルメチルカーボネートに対する前記フルオロエチレンカーボネートの重量比が0.5以下である、請求項4に記載の非水電解質二次電池。
- 正極活物質として組成式LixMO2、またはLiyM2O 4 (ただし、Mは1種類以上の遷移金属、0≦x≦1、0≦y≦2)で表される複合酸化物を含む正極と、負極と、電解液とを備える非水電解質二次電池であって、
前記負極はグラファイトを含む負極活物質層(但し、シリコン(Si)粒子を含む場合を除く)を含み、前記電解液はフルオロエチレンカーボネートを含有し、
前記フルオロエチレンカーボネートの含有量(mg)をXとし、前記負極活物質層の反応面積(m 2 )をYとしたときに、前記電解液は、前記非水電解質二次電池の作製時において、
10≦(X/Y)≦100
の関係を満たすように調整されたものである、非水電解質二次電池。
