Description
図1は、実施形態にかかる物体検出システムを備えた車両1を上方から見た外観を示した例示的かつ模式的な図である。
なお、上述した実施形態では、本開示の技術が、超音波の送受信によって物体までの距離を検出する構成に適用されている。しかしながら、本開示の技術は、音波、ミリ波、レーダ、および電磁波などのような、超音波以外の他の波動の送受信によって物体までの距離を検出する構成にも適用することが可能である。

Claims (5)
- 送信波を送信する送信部と、
物体により反射されて戻ってきた前記送信波としての受信波を受信する受信部と、
前記受信波に応じた処理対象信号をサンプリングし、ある検出タイミングで受信された前記受信波に応じた少なくとも1サンプル分の前記処理対象信号の値と、前記検出タイミングの前後に存在する所定の時間長の第1の期間および第2の期間のうち少なくとも一方において受信された前記受信波に応じた複数サンプル分の前記処理対象信号の値の平均値と、の差分に基づく差分信号を取得する信号処理部と、
前記差分信号の値に基づいて、前記検出タイミングにおける前記物体までの距離を、時間の経過に応じて複数回検出する検出処理部と、
前記物体までの距離と、当該物体までの距離が検出された前記検出タイミングにおける前記処理対象信号の値と、の前記時間の経過に応じた遷移に基づいて、前記物体を識別する識別処理部と、
を備え、
前記送信部および前記受信部は、車両に搭載されており、
前記識別処理部は、前記遷移が、前記物体までの距離が所定以下に小さいほど前記処理対象信号の値が大きいという第1の傾向を示すか、または、前記物体までの距離が前記所定以下に小さいほど前記処理対象信号の値が小さいという第2の傾向を示すかに応じて、前記車両の進行方向に対する前記物体の位置を識別する、
物体検出システム。 - 前記識別処理部は、前記遷移と、前記物体までの距離と前記処理対象信号の値との対応関係に関して予め決められた閾値と、の比較結果に基づいて、前記遷移が前記第1の傾向を示すか前記第2の傾向を示すかを判定する、
請求項1に記載の物体検出システム。 - 前記識別処理部は、前記遷移と前記閾値との複数回の比較結果に基づいて、前記遷移が前記第1の傾向を示すか前記第2の傾向を示すかを判定する、
請求項2に記載の物体検出システム。 - 前記識別処理部は、前記遷移が前記第1の傾向を示すかまたは前記第2の傾向を示すかに応じて、前記車両の進行方向正面に設けられた前記物体の高さを識別する、
請求項1~3のうちいずれか1項に記載の物体検出システム。 - 前記識別処理部による識別結果に応じて前記車両の走行状態を制御する走行制御処理部をさらに備える、
請求項1~4のうちいずれか1項に記載の物体検出システム。
