Description
シアノアクリレート接着剤などの硬化性組成物は、一般に数分で、特定の基材に応じて、多くの場合数秒で、広範囲の基材を迅速に接着する優れた能力でよく認識されている。
(a)シアノアクリレート成分および過酸化物触媒を含む第1パートおよび
(b)フリーラジカル硬化性成分および遷移金属を含む第2パートを含む2パートシアノアクリレート/フリーラジカル硬化性組成物を提供する。一緒に混合されると、第1パートの過酸化物触媒は、第2パートのフリーラジカル硬化性成分の硬化を開始し、第2パートの遷移金属は、第1パートのシアノアクリレートを活性化する。
<パートA>
シアノアクリレート成分には、H2C=C(CN)-COOR(式中、Rは、C1~15アルキル、C2~15アルコキシアルキル、C3~15シクロアルキル、C2~15アルケニル、C7~15アラルキル、C6~15アリール、C3~15アリルおよびC1~15ハロアルキル基から選択される)で表されるものなどのシアノアクリレートモノマーが含まれる。望ましくは、シアノアクリレートモノマーは、メチルシアノアクリレート、エチル-2-シアノアクリレート(「ECA」)、プロピルシアノアクリレート、ブチルシアノアクリレート(n-ブチル-2-シアノアクリレートなど)、オクチルシアノアクリレート、アリルシアノアクリレート、β-メトキシエチルシアノアクリレート、およびそれらの組み合わせから選択される。特に望ましいものは、エチル-2-シアノアクリレートである。
式中、
R3およびR4はそれ自体がシアノアクリレートモノマーの重合を引き起こさない有機基であり、R5はHまたはCH3であり、nは1~4の整数である。適切なR3およびR4基の例は、R基、メトキシなどのアルコキシ基、およびフェノキシなどのアリールオキシ基である。R3およびR4基は、ハロゲンまたは他の置換基を含んでいてもよく、その例はトリフルオロプロピルである。しかしながら、R4およびR5基として適していない基は、アミノ、置換アミノおよびアルキルアミノなどの塩基性基である。
nは3より大きく、例えば3~12の範囲内であり、nは9であることが特に望ましい。 より具体的な例として、PEG 200 DMA(nは約4)、PEG 400 DMA(nは約9)、PEG 600 DMA(nは約14)、PEG 800 DMA(nは約19)挙げられる。ここで、数値(例えば400)は、二つのメタクリレート基を除外した当該分子のグリコール部分の平均分子量を、グラム/モル(すなわち、400g/mol)で表記したものである。特に望ましいPEG DMAはPEG 400 DMAである。
接着剤系のパートB組成物に使用するためのフリーラジカル硬化性モノマーには、(メタ)アクリレートモノマー、マレイミド、イタコナミド、またはナジイミド含有化合物、およびそれらの組み合わせが含まれる。

Claims (14)
- (a)シアノアクリレート成分および過酸化物触媒を含む第1パートおよび
(b)フリーラジカル硬化性成分および遷移金属を含む第2パートを含む2パート硬化性組成物であって、第2パートが、第2パートのフリーラジカル硬化性成分の15~60重量パーセントの量で、ヒドロキシアルキル(メタ)アクリレート、アルキレングリコールおよびイソホロンジイソシアネートから作られる、その少なくとも一部が、イソホロンジイソシアネートから形成されたウレタン結合を含む主鎖を有する(メタ)アクリレート官能化ウレタン樹脂をさらに含み、混合すると過酸化物触媒がフリーラジカル硬化性成分の硬化を開始し、遷移金属がシアノアクリレート成分の硬化を開始し、

- 遷移金属が、銅、バナジウム、コバルトおよび鉄からなる群から選択されるメンバーを含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 第1パートが、デュアルチャンバーシリンジの第1のチャンバーに収容され、第2パートが、デュアルチャンバーシリンジの第2のチャンバーに収容される、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 第2パートが、可塑剤および充填剤のうちの少なくとも1つをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。

- 組成物の硬化反応生成物が、0mm間隔で互いに結合された基板よりも、1mm間隔で互いに結合された基板上でより大きな落下衝撃強度を示す、請求項1に記載の組成物。
