Claims (8)
- 排気処理装置であって、
メタンを含むガスを燃料として用いるエンジンの排気が導入される処理筐体と、
前記処理筐体に収容され、前記排気に含まれる未燃焼のメタンを酸化させる触媒部と、
を備え、
前記処理筐体に導入される前記排気の温度である導入排気温度が150℃~350℃である場合、前記エンジンのチューニング状態が、前記排気に含まれる一酸化炭素の濃度が定常運転時よりも高い0.04体積%以上かつ2.5体積%以下となり、かつ、前記排気に含まれるメタンの濃度が定常運転時と同じく0.5体積%以上かつ1.5体積%以下となるように、所定のチューニング状態とされ、前記触媒部は、前記排気に含まれる一酸化炭素を酸化させて、一酸化炭素の酸化反応熱を利用してメタンの酸化開始温度よりも高い常用温度以上まで昇温することを特徴とする排気処理装置。 - 請求項1に記載の排気処理装置であって、
前記所定のチューニング状態は、第1チューニング状態および第2チューニング状態を含み、
前記触媒部の温度が前記常用温度未満かつメタンの酸化開始温度以上の温度である第1切替温度未満である場合、前記エンジンのチューニング状態は、前記排気に含まれる一酸化炭素の濃度が前記定常運転時よりも高い前記第1チューニング状態とされ、前記触媒部の温度が前記第1切替温度まで昇温すると、前記エンジンのチューニング状態が、前記排気に含まれる一酸化炭素の濃度が前記定常運転時よりも高く、かつ、前記第1チューニング状態よりも低い前記第2チューニング状態とされることを特徴とする排気処理装置。 - 請求項1または2に記載の排気処理装置であって、
前記導入排気温度を測定する導入温度センサをさらに備えることを特徴とする排気処理装置。 - 請求項1ないし3のいずれか1つに記載の排気処理装置であって、

前記処理筐体は、前記排気の流れ方向において、前記排気により回転するタービンよりも下流側に配置されることを特徴とする排気処理装置。 - エンジンシステムであって、
メタンを含むガスを燃料として用いるエンジンと、
前記エンジンの排気を処理する請求項1ないし5のいずれか1つに記載の排気処理装置と、
を備えることを特徴とするエンジンシステム。 - 請求項6に記載のエンジンシステムであって、
前記エンジンは2ストロークエンジンであることを特徴とするエンジンシステム。 - メタンを含むガスを燃料として用いるエンジンの排気中の未燃焼のメタンを酸化させる排気処理方法であって、
a)150℃~350℃の排気を触媒部に供給する工程と、
b)前記排気に含まれる一酸化炭素を前記触媒部において酸化させて、一酸化炭素の酸化反応熱を利用して前記触媒部をメタンの酸化開始温度よりも高い常用温度以上まで昇温させる工程と、
c)前記b)工程よりも後に、前記常用温度以上の前記触媒部により前記排気中のメタンを酸化させる工程と、
を備え、
前記a)工程において、前記エンジンのチューニング状態が、前記排気に含まれる一酸化炭素の濃度が定常運転時よりも高い0.04体積%以上かつ2.5体積%以下となり、かつ、前記排気に含まれるメタンの濃度が定常運転時と同じく0.5体積%以上かつ1.5体積%以下となるように、所定のチューニング状態とされることを特徴とする排気処理方法。
