Description

The present invention relates to a glass-coated product in which a glass layer is baked onto the surface of a metal product.

Traditionally, glass-coated products, such as enamel products, in which a glass layer is baked onto the surface of metal products, have been widely used. Among enamel products, glass-lined products are also widely used as components of facilities where chemical processes are carried out. Glass-lined products are required to have excellent corrosion resistance due to their applications. In addition, general-purpose enamel products other than glass-lined products (hereinafter also referred to as "general-purpose enamel products") used in building materials such as bathtubs and wall panels and cooking utensils such as pots and kettles are also required to have excellent corrosion resistance because corrosion of the underlying metal product can cause the glass layer to peel off or cause a loss of aesthetic appeal due to rust.

In glass-coated products, the surface of the metal product typically has an exposed surface that is not covered by a glass layer and is exposed on the surface of the glass-coated product, and a glass-coated surface that is covered by a glass layer. In other words, in glass-coated products, the edge of the glass layer defines the boundary between the exposed surface of the metal product and the glass-coated surface.

In this type of glass-coated product, if the metal product is made of a metal with excellent corrosion resistance, it is believed that the glass-coated product will also exhibit excellent corrosion resistance. In this regard, for example, it is known that the corrosion resistance of iron-based metals can be improved by adding a large amount of chromium. Nickel-based alloys are also known to have better corrosion resistance than general iron-based metals. However, these highly corrosion-resistant metals with excellent corrosion resistance may be more expensive or less workable than general iron-based metals. For this reason, as shown in Patent Document 1 below, in conventional glass-coated products, only the portions where the edge portions of the glass layer, which are likely to be the starting point for peeling of the glass layer, are located are made of highly corrosion-resistant metal.

Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 2-125729

When manufacturing glass-coated products, a glazing process is carried out in which a slurry containing glass powder is poured or sprayed onto the surface of a metal product to produce an unfired product in which an unfired glass layer is laminated onto the surface of the metal product, and a firing process is carried out in which the unfired product is fired in a furnace. Here, if a part of the metal product is made of a highly corrosion-resistant metal and part of the surface of the metal product is made to be a highly corrosion-resistant surface, it becomes difficult to distinguish between the highly corrosion-resistant surface and the other surface, making it difficult to determine the extent of glazing. For this reason, it is difficult to achieve both excellent corrosion resistance and ease of manufacture in conventional glass-coated products. Therefore, the present invention aims to solve such problems and to provide a glass-coated product that is easy to manufacture and has excellent corrosion resistance.

The flange portion 122 of the container nozzle 120 and the protection ring 210 are laminated via a ring-shaped gasket S1 that is thinner than the protection ring 210 and the flange portion 122. A thin ring-shaped gasket S2 is also interposed between the protection ring 210 and the lid main body 220. A ring-shaped gasket S3 is also interposed between the lid flange portion 223 and the glass plate 224, and a ring-shaped gasket S4 is also interposed between the glass plate 224 and the window frame portion 225.

The metal tank 100 and metal lid material 200 of this embodiment include a base portion BP made of an iron-based metal, and a highly corrosion-resistant portion HP made of a highly corrosion-resistant metal having a higher content of at least one of nickel and chromium than the iron-based metal. The highly corrosion-resistant portion HP in this embodiment is made of a highly corrosion-resistant metal filled in a notch portion BP1 provided in the base portion BP. More specifically, the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP in this embodiment is made of a highly corrosion-resistant metal welded to the base portion BP at the notch portion BP1.

The highly corrosion-resistant portion HP is provided so as to be exposed on the surface of the metal tank 100 or the metal lid material 200. Therefore, the surface of the metal tank 100 or the metal lid material 200 includes the base surface SB, which is the surface of the base portion BP, and the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH, which is the surface of the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP. The glass layer GL in the tank body 10 or the lid member 20 is provided so that its edge portion is located on the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH.

Glass-coated products such as glass-lined products are manufactured so that compressive stress acts on the glass layer GL. This allows the glass layer GL to have high strength in glass-coated products. However, if the interface corrodes and the bonding strength between the glass layer GL and the metal product weakens, the stress distribution in the glass layer GL changes, causing excessive stress, and the glass layer GL breaks from the point where this stress occurs. The corrosion that causes such cracks progresses from the edge of the glass layer GL. As the corrosion progresses, the glass layer GL breaks into small pieces and peels off from the metal product. The peeling of the glass layer GL, called chipping, also progresses from the edge of the glass layer GL. Therefore, in metal products, the part where the edge of the glass layer GL is located is made of a highly corrosion-resistant metal, which is effective in preventing the progression of chipping.

When the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP is formed by welding, it is diluted with iron-based metal, so the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP after welding may not be exactly the material exemplified above. Whether the corrosion resistance of the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP is higher than that of the base portion BP can also be determined by measuring the corrosion potential.

The base portion BP and the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP may be joined by a physical joining force such as screwing or shrink fitting, or may be joined by a joining material such as a welding material, or the highly corrosion-resistant metal may be used as a welding material and the welding material may be welded to the base portion BP to form the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP. In such cases, the welding may be fusion welding such as arc welding, gas welding, or laser welding, pressure welding such as spot welding or seam welding, or may be thermal spraying or brazing.

From the viewpoint of the robustness of the joint between the base portion BP and the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP, the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP may be formed by build-up welding a highly corrosion-resistant metal to the base portion BP. The highly corrosion-resistant portion HP may be a laminate of multiple layers including a first welded layer in contact with the base portion BP and a second welded layer overlapping the first welded layer. The highly corrosion-resistant portion HP may be welded such that the beads formed by build-up welding overlap in three or more layers.

As mentioned above, the metal products used to manufacture the glass-coated products are:
a) a preparation step of forming a primary member for forming the base portion BP from an iron-based metal;
b) a welding step of welding a highly corrosion-resistant metal for forming the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP to the primary member to form a secondary member;
and c) a finishing step of machining the outer shape of the secondary part to finish it into a shape required for a metal product.

In the preparation process, a primary member having a shape corresponding to the shape of the base portion BP can be formed, and a primary member 2100' having a notch BP1' can be formed. In the welding process, the surface defining the notch BP1' is used as the welded surface, and welding can be performed so that the notch BP1' is filled with a highly corrosion-resistant metal. Since the heat in the welding process can cause distortion in the primary member 2100', a primary member 2100' whose thickness and length are slightly larger than those of the metal product when the highly corrosion-resistant metal is filled in the notch BP1' can be used, and the entire surface of the secondary member 2100'' can be machined in the finishing process.

In the preparation process, for example, the original member before the notch is formed can be cut using a lathe or the like to form the notch BP1' to form the primary member. More specifically, in the preparation process, a metal ring entirely made of an iron-based metal can be prepared, and the corners of the metal ring can be cut off using a lathe or the like to form a notch to produce the primary member. The welding process can be performed by welding a welding material to the welded surface of the primary member, and in this case, the notch BP1' can be filled with the welding material in one welding, or the notch BP1' can be filled with the welding material by multiple welding. When multiple welding is performed, the welding can be performed in a direction away from the welded surface. For example, when the cross-sectional shape of the notch BP1' is horizontally long, the welding can be performed so that the beads of the welding material are arranged horizontally and multiple beads are stacked in the thickness direction.

In the welding process, more welding material than necessary may be welded. In the finishing process, distortions caused by welding may be corrected, or distorted surfaces may be cut to make them flat. In the finishing process, excess welding material may be removed by cutting.

In the preparation process, for example, in the case of the protection ring 210, as shown in FIG. 3a, a primary member 2100' is prepared in which a notch BP1' is provided at the corner where the first surface 2100a of the metal ring 2100 intersects with the outer peripheral side surface 2100c2, and at the corner where the second surface 2100b intersects with the outer peripheral side surface 2100c2.

The cutout portion BP1' illustrated in FIG. 3b is provided so as to reach the radially outer edge of the metal ring 2100. On the other hand, this cutout portion BP1' does not reach the radially inner edge of the metal ring 2100. Therefore, the cutout portion BP1' is defined by two surfaces: an annular bottom wall surface W1 that defines the bottom surface of the cutout portion BP1', and a vertical wall surface W2 that rises from the inner peripheral edge of the bottom wall surface W1.

In this embodiment, the notch BP1' is filled with a highly corrosion-resistant metal by welding. Therefore, in this embodiment, the bottom wall surface W1 and the vertical wall surface W2 are the welded surfaces to which the highly corrosion-resistant metal is welded. In other words, the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP formed by filling the notch BP1' with a highly corrosion-resistant metal has a surface that contacts the bottom wall surface W1 and the vertical wall surface W2 and forms a joint surface with the base portion BP.

If the notch does not reach the edge of the primary member and is groove-shaped with vertical wall surfaces on both sides of the notch, when welding is performed so that multiple beads WB are lined up horizontally on the bottom wall surface, the welding area may become narrow when the beads WB are lined up in order from the corner between the bottom wall surface and the vertical wall surface and reach the vertical wall surface on the opposite side, making the work difficult. However, in this embodiment, since the notch reaches the edge, even if the beads WB are welded in order from the vertical wall surface W2 side, it does not become necessary to fill the narrow area with welding material until the end.

The bottom wall surface W1 is preferably formed so as to be parallel to the first surface 2100a. In other words, the notch portion BP1' is preferably formed so that the depth from the first surface 2100a to the bottom wall surface W1 is uniform overall.

The vertical wall surface W2 may be provided perpendicular to the bottom wall surface W1, but if the corner CN where the vertical wall surface W2 and the bottom wall surface W1 intersect is recessed so as to be pointed, it becomes difficult for the highly corrosion-resistant metal to enter during welding. Therefore, the vertical wall surface W2 may be provided so as to intersect with the bottom wall surface W1 at an obtuse angle. In addition, a C surface or an R surface may be provided at the corner CN where the vertical wall surface W2 and the bottom wall surface W1 intersect. When the corner CN is a C surface, the value of the corner C may be 0.5 mm or more, or may be 1.0 mm or more. When the corner CN is an R surface, the value of the corner R may be 0.5 mm or more, or may be 1.0 mm or more. When the bottom wall surface W1 and the vertical wall surface W2 are at an obtuse angle, the angle can be, for example, 95 degrees or more. The angle between the bottom wall surface W1 and the vertical wall surface W2 may be 100 degrees or more, or may be 105 degrees or more.

The angle between the bottom wall surface W1 and the vertical wall surface W2, and the values of the corners C and R can be measured based on the cross-sectional shape when the primary member 2100' is cut on a plane along the chipping progression direction. The chipping progression direction is usually perpendicular to the direction in which the edge of the glass layer GL extends, which is radially inward in the protection ring 210. Therefore, when checking the angle between the bottom wall surface W1 and the vertical wall surface W2 in the protection ring 210, and the condition of the corners C and R, measurements can be performed on a cross section of the protection ring 210 cut on a plane including the central axis of the protection ring 210. Note that the cross section in the direction perpendicular to the direction in which the edge GLe of the glass layer GL extends (if the edge is curved, the tangent direction (for example, the direction of the arrow D in FIG. 4b)) is a surface along the thickness direction of the glass layer GL, and hereinafter, the cross section is also referred to as the "thickness direction cross section TX".

The depth of the cutout portion BP1' observed in the thickness direction cross section TX (depth from the first surface 2100a to the bottom wall surface W1) may be, for example, 0.05 mm or more, 0.1 mm or more, 0.3 mm or more, or 0.5 mm or more. The depth may be, for example, 1.0 mm or more, 1.5 mm or more, 2 mm or more, or 2.5 mm or more. The depth may be, for example, 20 mm or less, 10 mm or less, 8 mm or less, or 5 mm or less. The length from the corner CN where the bottom wall surface W1 and the vertical wall surface W2 intersect (the center point of the corner if a C surface or R surface is provided) along the bottom wall surface W1 to the outer peripheral side surface 2100c2 can be 0.8 times or more the depth of the cutout portion BP1'. The length may be 1.0 times or more, 1.2 times or more, 1.5 times or more, or 2.0 times or more of the depth of the cutout portion BP1'. The length may be, for example, 5 mm or more. The length may be 8 mm or more, 10 mm or more, 15 mm or more, or 20 mm or more. The length may be, for example, 30 mm or less, 20 mm or less, or 10 mm or less.

When the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP formed by filling the cutout portion BP1' with a highly corrosion-resistant metal is cut in the thickness direction cross section, it is preferable that the cross section shape is a horizontally elongated shape that is long in the direction from the center of the metal ring toward the edge. This makes it possible to conserve the amount of highly corrosion-resistant metal used while ensuring a wide highly corrosion-resistant surface SH.

The notch BP1' on the first surface 2100a side and the notch BP1' on the second surface 2100b side may have the same or different shapes in the thickness direction cross section TX. In this embodiment, the shape of the space in the notch BP1' is annular on both the first surface 2100a side and the second surface 2100b side. Therefore, the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP formed in this embodiment is also annular.

For example, a circular plate made of a highly corrosion-resistant metal may be prepared in advance so as to have a shape corresponding to the notch portion BP1', and the circular plate may be fitted into one or both of the notch portion BP1' on the first surface 2100a side and the notch portion BP1' on the second surface 2100b side, and fixed by spot welding or shrink fitting to form the metal ring 2100; however, in this embodiment, build-up welding is performed to provide a high joint strength between the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP and the base portion BP.

As shown in Figures 3c to 3e, build-up welding can be performed, for example, so that the beads WB are continuously formed in the circumferential direction, and can be performed so that the beads WB are arranged side by side on the bottom wall surface W1. Build-up welding can be performed so that the formation height of the beads WB is equal to or greater than the depth of the cutout portion BP1', and so that the beads WB do not overlap in the vertical direction. Build-up welding can be performed so that the formation height of the beads WB is less than the depth of the cutout portion BP1', and so that the beads WB are stacked in the vertical direction.

It is preferable to perform build-up welding so as to form a layered structure including a first welded layer BL1 composed of one or more beads WB in contact with the bottom wall surface W1, and a second welded layer BL2 composed of one or more beads WB overlapping the first welded layer BL1 so as to contact the first welded layer BL1 from the side opposite the bottom wall surface W1. It is preferable that each layer of the first welded layer BL1 and the second welded layer BL2 is formed so that multiple beads WB are arranged side by side.

The build-up welding as described above can be performed by overlapping the bead WB so that it is raised higher than the first surface 2100a and the second surface 2100b, as shown in FIG. 3e, and by making the bead WB extend outward beyond the outer peripheral side surface 2100c2.

In build-up welding, even if a bead WB is formed using a welding rod made of a highly corrosion-resistant metal, the bead WB is diluted by iron-based metal in the area that directly contacts the primary member 2100' (bottom wall surface W1 and vertical wall surface W2). Therefore, by forming the above-mentioned layered structure, the second welded layer BL2 can be made to have a higher purity than the first welded layer BL1, and the content of iron-based metal in the second welded layer BL2 can be reduced. In addition, the bead WB located at the radially innermost position in the second welded layer BL2 and in contact with the vertical wall surface W2 is diluted by iron-based metal, but by arranging multiple beads WB side by side, it is possible to prevent iron-based metal from being mixed into the radially outer bead WB.

After the build-up welding, the excess weld material can be removed by cutting or the like to form a secondary component 2100" as shown in FIG. 3f. The secondary component 2100" may be used as the metal ring 2100 as is and the glass layer GL may be baked thereon, or it may be further treated, such as by chemical conversion treatment, to form the metal ring 2100.

The protection ring 210 is manufactured by carrying out a frosting process in which a slurry containing glass powder is sprayed onto the metal ring 2100 to produce an unfired product with an unfired glass layer, and a firing process in which the unfired product is fired in a furnace. At this time, since the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH is formed up to the edge of the metal ring 2100, frosting can be easily carried out to position the edge of the glass layer on the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH.

The metal ring 2100 formed as described above is provided with a base surface SB, which is the surface of the base portion BP, and a highly corrosion-resistant surface SH, which is the surface of the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP. As shown in FIG. 4a, the metal ring 2100 is provided so that the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH reaches the radially outer edge when viewed from the thickness direction of the baked glass layer GL. In the metal ring 2100, as described above, although the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP may contain iron-based metal, the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH is less likely to contain iron-based metal in the second and subsequent layers of beads WB. In this embodiment, the second and subsequent layers of beads WB are scraped to form the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH, so that the purity of the highly corrosion-resistant metal in the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH can be increased. In addition, in the inner, radially inner portion of the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH, iron-based metal may be present that has been mixed in from the vertical wall surface W2, but in the radially outer portion, the probability of the presence of iron-based metal is greatly reduced.

Even if the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH and the base surface SB have similar appearances and it is difficult to determine the boundary between the two just by looking at them, by forming the glass layer GL close to the edge (the radially outer edge) of the metal ring 2100 as shown in Figure 4b, the edge of the glass layer GL will be baked onto the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH, which is made of a highly corrosion-resistant metal with a high purity, and chipping can be suppressed.

In other words, the protection ring 210, in which the glass layer GL is baked onto the first surface 2100a, the second surface 2100b, and the inner peripheral side surface 2100c1 of the metal ring 2100, includes a base portion BP made of an iron-based metal and a highly corrosion-resistant portion HP made of a highly corrosion-resistant metal having a higher content of at least one of nickel and chromium than the iron-based metal, and the surface of the metal ring 2100 includes a base surface SB, which is the surface of the base portion BP, and a highly corrosion-resistant surface SH, which is the surface of the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP, and when the edge portion of the glass layer GL is viewed from the thickness direction of the glass layer GL, the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH is provided so as to extend from the edge of the metal ring 2100, and the edge of the glass layer GL is located on the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH.

As described above, in the protection ring 210 of this embodiment, the end of the glass layer GL, which is likely to be the starting point of chipping, is baked onto the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH, and the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH extends outward from the glass layer GL beyond the edge GLe of the glass layer GL and reaches the edge of the metal ring 2100. The protection ring 210 of this embodiment is configured in this way to suppress the occurrence of chipping. The corners between the first surface 2100a and the outer peripheral side surface 2100c2 may be R-chamfered or C-chamfered. Even in such a case, the range in which the glass layer GL is formed can be easily set using the edge of the metal ring 2100 (the edge on the outer peripheral side surface 2100c2 side of the chamfered portion) as a guide, making it easy to suppress chipping. If necessary, the glass layer GL may be provided so as to go beyond the corner and wrap around the outer peripheral side surface 2100c2.

The protection ring 210 illustrated in the figure has two highly corrosion-resistant parts HP, separated on each of the first surface 2100a and the second surface 2100b of the metal ring 2100. In the protection ring 210 illustrated in the figure, the two highly corrosion-resistant parts HP are laminated on the base part BP in the thickness direction cross section TX, and the highly corrosion-resistant parts HP have a joint surface CF with the base part BP that is the opposite surface to the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH. It is also possible to form the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH on two surfaces, the first surface 2100a and the second surface 2100b, by making the highly corrosion-resistant parts HP the same thickness as the metal ring 2100 with one highly corrosion-resistant part HP, but by doing as described above, the amount of highly corrosion-resistant metal used can be reduced.

The glass layer GL provided on the protection ring 210 may be a multilayer structure including an undercoat glass layer GL1 that is in direct contact with the metal ring 2100 and baked onto the metal ring 2100, and an overcoat glass layer GL2 that is in contact with the undercoat glass layer GL1 from the opposite side of the metal ring 2100 and baked onto the metal ring 2100 via the undercoat glass layer GL1, as shown in FIG. 5.

In the protection ring 210 shown in FIG. 5, the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP formed by the highly corrosion-resistant metal filled in the cutout portion BP1 of the base portion BP has a horizontally elongated shape in the thickness direction cross section TX, but for example, as shown in FIG. 6, the cross-sectional shape of the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP may be vertically elongated or may have other cross-sectional shapes.

In the protection ring 210 shown in FIG. 6, the length of the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP in the radial direction can be shortened, so the amount of highly corrosion-resistant metal used can be reduced, and the labor required for welding and the like can be reduced. On the other hand, if there is a large difference in the thermal expansion coefficient between the highly corrosion-resistant metal and the iron-based metal, residual stress may occur at the boundary between the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP and the base portion BP after the metal ring 2100 is glazed and the glass layer GL is baked. If the highly corrosion-resistant portion is made horizontally long as in the protection ring 210 shown in FIG. 5, it becomes easier to move the edge GLe of the glass layer GL, where chipping is likely to occur, away from the boundary between the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH and the base surface SB, where such stress is likely to occur.

For the reasons mentioned above, it is preferable that the glass layer GL is formed so that its edge GLe is located at a certain distance T or more from the boundary line LL between the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH and the base surface SB. The certain distance L1 from the boundary line LL to the edge GLe of the glass layer GL may be ensured on both sides or only one side of the protection ring 210. Furthermore, if the distance L1 from the boundary line to the edge GLe of the glass layer GL is ensured only on one side, it is not necessary to ensure such a distance T around the entire circumference of the protection ring 210.

The edge GLe of the glass layer GL is preferably arranged at a certain distance L1 or more from the boundary line LL over its entire length, but such distance L1 may be provided over a section of, for example, 10% or more of the entire length of the edge. The section over which such distance L1 is provided may be 25% or more, 50% or more, or 75% or more.

The distance L1 between the edge GLe of the glass layer GL and the boundary line LL can be, for example, 3 mm or more. This distance L1 may be 4 mm or more, 5 mm or more, 6 mm or more, 8 mm or more, or 10 mm or more. The distance L1 between the edge GLe of the glass layer GL and the boundary line LL can be, for example, 20 mm or less. This distance L1 may be 15 mm or less, or 10 mm or less.

ガラス層GLの端縁GLeが位置する箇所での高耐食部HPの深さL2(高耐食面SHとは反対側の基体部BPとの接合面CFから高耐食面SHまでの距離)についても一定以上であることが好ましい。 It is also preferable that the depth L2 of the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP at the location where the edge GLe of the glass layer GL is located (the distance from the joint surface CF with the base portion BP on the opposite side of the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH to the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH) is at least a certain level. Although it is preferable that the edge GLe of the glass layer GL is provided at a location where the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP has a depth L2 at least a certain level over its entire length, the location where the edge GLe is provided at such a depth L2 may be, for example, a section of 10% or more of the entire length of the edge GLe. The section where the edge GLe is provided at a location where the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP has a depth at least a certain level may be 25% or more, 50% or more, or 75% or more of the entire length of the edge GLe.

The depth L2 of the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP at the position where the edge GLe of the glass layer GL is provided may be, for example, 0.05 mm or more, 0.1 mm or more, 0.3 mm or more, or 0.5 mm or more. This depth L2 may be 1.0 mm or more, 1.5 mm or more, 2 mm or more, 2.5 mm or more, 3 mm or more, or 4 mm or more. The depth L2 of the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP at the position where the edge GLe of the glass layer GL is provided may be, for example, 20 mm or less. This depth L2 may be 10 mm or less, 8 mm or less, or 5 mm or less.

The highly corrosion resistant surface SH may have an area percentage of 25% or more having the depth L2 as described above. The area percentage of the highly corrosion resistant surface SH occupied by the region having the depth L2 as described above may be 30% or more, 40% or more, 50% or more, or 60% or more. It is preferable that the highly corrosion resistant surface SH does not have a sudden change in depth within a narrow range. It is preferable that the highly corrosion resistant portion HP has a constant thickness, or that the change in thickness in the planar direction is constant even if the thickness varies depending on the location.

It is preferable that the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP has a plate-like region HPa whose shape is a horizontal strip in the thickness direction cross section TX, or a variable thickness region HPn whose thickness observed in the thickness direction cross section TX changes at a constant rate in a direction perpendicular to the thickness direction. It is preferable that the glass layer GL is baked so that its edge is located in this plate-like region HPa or variable thickness region HPn.

As described above, the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP in this embodiment is annular. That is, the plate-shaped region HPa extends in the circumferential direction of the protection ring 210, and the horizontally elongated cross-sectional shape is continuous not only in a cross section of one plane, but also in the depth direction (circumferential direction) of the cross section. In this embodiment, the cross-sectional shape in all planes including the central axis of the protection ring 210 is a horizontally elongated cross-sectional shape. The plate-shaped region HPa in this embodiment may be formed so that the exact same cross-sectional shape continues in the extending direction, or may be formed so that the thickness dimension, width dimension, etc. of the cross-sectional shape change in the depth direction (circumferential direction) while maintaining the cross-sectional shape as a horizontally elongated cross-sectional shape. In glass-coated products other than the protection ring 210 illustrated in the figure, the plate-shaped region may be, for example, a polygonal frame plate (square frame plate, hexagonal frame plate).

In this embodiment, not only the plate-shaped region HPa but also the variable thickness region HPn extends in the circumferential direction of the protection ring 210. The variable thickness region HPn may be formed so that the same cross-sectional shape continues in the extending direction, or may be formed so that the thickness of the cross-sectional shape changes at a constant rate in the radial direction while the thickness dimension, width dimension, degree of change, etc. of the cross-sectional shape change in the depth direction (circumferential direction).

In order to suppress chipping, the metal product may be formed so that most of the glass-coated surface is the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH, but it is not necessary to provide the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP over an excessively wide area. For example, the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP and the plate-shaped region HPa may be provided in a disk shape or a polygonal plate shape, but in order to suppress the amount of highly corrosion-resistant metal used and reduce the labor required for welding, etc., they may be provided so as to extend in a strip shape along the edge of the glass layer GL. In that case, the region whose cross-sectional shape in a plane perpendicular to the extension direction of the plate-shaped region HPa is a horizontal strip shape continues over the section in which the plate-shaped region HPa extends, thereby suppressing chipping from progressing in a direction intersecting with the plate-shaped region HPa. In addition, the variable thickness region HPn can also suppress chipping from progressing in a direction intersecting with the direction in which the variable thickness region HPn extends. The plate-shaped region HPa and the variable thickness region HPn do not necessarily need to be provided over the entire section in which the edge of the glass layer GL extends, and may be provided only in a part of it. The plate-shaped region HPa and the variable thickness region HPn may be provided so as to occupy 50% or more of the length of the edge of the glass layer GL, 70% or more, or 90% or more. It is preferable that the plate-shaped region HPa and the variable thickness region HPn are provided over the entire section (100%) of the edge of the glass layer GL.

From the viewpoint of workability, it is preferable that the thickness change rate in the variable thickness region HPn is set so that the angle (θ in FIG. 11) between the interface with the base portion BP and the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH is within 45 degrees. The angle may be 30 degrees or less, or 20 degrees or less.

When the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP is laminated on the base portion BP, the presence of a plate-shaped region HPa in the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP can be confirmed by the fact that the boundary line between the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP and the base portion BP in the thickness direction cross section TX (the cross-sectional shape of the joint surface CF) is a straight line parallel to the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH. The presence of a variable thickness region HPn in the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP can be confirmed by the fact that the boundary line between the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP and the base portion BP in the thickness direction cross section TX is a straight line at an angle to the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH.

Whether the interface is linear can be confirmed by checking that the straightness of the boundary line is within 1 mm. The straightness of the boundary line is preferably within 0.5 mm, more preferably within 0.1 mm, and even more preferably within 0.01 mm. Here, the straightness is set to a value equal to or less than the depth L2 of the highly corrosion-resistant portion. In the protection ring 210 illustrated in FIG. 5, there are two cross sections of the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP, separated on the first surface 210a side and the second surface 210b side. In addition, although not shown in FIG. 5, when the protection ring 210 is cut on a plane including the central axis, there is a cross section of the protection ring 210 cut at a position 180 degrees away from FIG. 5, and the two cross sections are arranged so as to be line-symmetrical with respect to the central axis. And, in a cross section other than that in FIG. 5, there are two cross sections of the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP, on the first surface 210a side and the second surface 210b side. That is, when the protection ring 210 is cut on a plane including the central axis, the cross section of the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP will be provided in four locations. The straightness may be the same for each of the four cross sections, or the straightness in one cross section may differ from the straightness in the other cross sections. That is, just as it is not necessary to strictly maintain the cross-sectional shape in the direction in which the plate-shaped region HPa and the variable thickness region HPn extend as described above, the straightness of the boundary line may also change in the depth direction (circumferential direction) of the cross section.

The plate-shaped region HPa and the variable thickness region may be formed so that the length in the thickness direction cross section TX is 5 mm or more. The length in the thickness direction cross section TX of the plate-shaped region HPa and the variable thickness region may be 7 mm or more, or may be 10 mm or more. It is preferable that the protection ring 210 is provided with a plate-shaped region HPa and a variable thickness region having a certain or more length in the circumferential direction (depth direction from the thickness direction cross section TX). In other words, it is preferable that the high corrosion resistance portion HP is provided so that the same cross-sectional shape continues in the circumferential direction. The circumferential length of the plate-shaped region HPa and the variable thickness region may be 10% or more of the entire circumference, 25% or more, 50% or more, or 75% or more. It is preferable that the plate-shaped region HPa and the variable thickness region HPn are provided around the entire circumference.

The protection ring 210 shown in Figures 5 and 6 has a first surface 210a that faces the bottom surface of the lid body 220, a second surface 210b that faces the flange portion 122 of the container nozzle 120 on the opposite side of the first surface 210a, an inner peripheral side surface 210c1 that connects the inner peripheral edge of the first surface 210a to the inner peripheral edge of the second surface 210b, and an outer peripheral side surface 210c2 that connects the outer peripheral edge of the first surface 210a to the outer peripheral edge of the second surface 210b. In the outer peripheral side surface 210c2, the metal ring 2100 is exposed without being covered by the glass layer GL. In addition, at both ends of the protection ring 210 in the axial direction, the outer peripheral side surface 210c2 is a highly corrosion-resistant surface SH, but the middle portion is a base surface SB.

In order to prevent the occurrence of rust or the like on the base surface SB due to liquid adhering to the underside of the lid body 220 when the lid is opened or closed, the protection ring 210 may have the entire outer peripheral side surface 210c2 as a highly corrosion-resistant surface SH, for example, as shown in FIG. 7. In other words, the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH of the metal ring 2100 may be provided so as to extend beyond the corner between the first surface 2100a and the outer peripheral side surface 2100c2 to the outer peripheral side surface 2100c2 and to the corner between the outer peripheral side surface 2100c2 and the second surface 2100b.

In such a case, the metal ring 2100 constituting the protection ring 210 may be composed of two ring members that are doubled on the inside and outside in the radial direction, as shown in FIG. 8, for example. That is, the outer peripheral surface of the inner ring 2110 on the inside in the radial direction and the inner peripheral surface of the outer ring 2120 surrounding the inner ring 2110 may be joined by a method such as welding, and the outer ring 2120 may be made of a highly corrosion-resistant metal, so that the metal ring 2100 whose outer peripheral side surface 2100c2 is entirely made of a highly corrosion-resistant surface SH may be used as a metal product for forming the glass layer GL. Note that when welding the outer ring 2120 and the inner ring 2110, the welding material does not need to be a highly corrosion-resistant metal, and may be an iron-based metal, etc.

As shown in FIG. 9, in the same manner as the protection ring 210, the container nozzle 120 is also provided with a notch in the flange portion 1220 of the metal nozzle 1200 which serves as the base of the container nozzle 120, and the notch is filled with a highly corrosion-resistant metal to form a highly corrosion-resistant portion HP. A highly corrosion-resistant surface SH and a base surface SB are provided on the upper surface of the flange portion 1220, and the edge GLe of the glass layer GL is positioned on the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH, thereby suppressing the occurrence of chipping.

It is also possible to adopt a spigot structure as shown in FIG. 10. In the container nozzle 120 illustrated in FIG. 10, the highly corrosion-resistant portion HP has a step, and the highly corrosion-resistant surface SH is provided with a low-step region SHL on the lower step side of the step, a high-step region SHH on the higher step side of the step, and a connection region SHC connecting the low-step region SHL and the high-step region SHH, and the glass layer GL is baked onto the low-step region SHL, and the edge portion of the glass layer GL is baked onto the connection region SHC. In this embodiment, the occurrence of chipping can be further suppressed. Such a spigot structure can also be adopted for the protection ring 210.

In addition, as illustrated in FIG. 11, the edge GLe of the glass layer GL may be provided in the variable thickness region HPn, both in the protection ring 210 and the container nozzle 120.

Although a detailed explanation will not be repeated here, chipping can also be suppressed for the lid body 220 by forming notches in the outer corners of the base portion 2210 of the gold lid 2200 and the outer corners of the gold lid flange portion 2230 to form highly corrosion-resistant portions HP and then baking the glass layer GL. In this case, a spigot structure or the like may also be used. In this embodiment, when glazing any metal product, the area to be glazed can be determined using the edge of the metal product as a guide, improving workability. As described above, in this embodiment, a glass-lined product that is easy to manufacture and has excellent corrosion resistance is provided.

In the above, the protection ring 210 and the metal cover flange portion 2230 are exemplified as having a circular shape in plan view, but the above-mentioned effects can also be achieved with products that are rectangular in plan view or with polygonal shapes other than a rectangle. In addition, while the above-mentioned examples are of glass-lined products, the same effects can also be achieved with general-purpose enamel products other than glass-lined products. In addition, the above-mentioned effects can be achieved not only with enamel products, but also with other glass-coated products.
