Description
a)工具が工作物に接触した時点からピンが加熱されるとともに軟化した工作物内に最高肩まで完全に埋め込まれる時点までの侵入ステップ(プランジ(plunge)ステップとも呼ばれている)、
b)工具が接合されるべき工作物相互間内で直線的に横方向に動く際の工具横送り、および
c)工具が工作物から持ち上げられまたは横送りされながらこれから離れる際の取り出しステップ。
Claims (14)
- 使用中における回転の中心となる長手方向回転軸線を有する摩擦撹拌接合(FSW)工具組立体であって、前記工具組立体は、工具インサートおよび前記工具インサートを同軸状に保持する工具ホルダを含み、前記工具ホルダは、前記工具インサートを少なくとも部分的に受け入れる凹みカップを有し、前記工具組立体は、前記工具インサートと前記工具ホルダを互いに結合する結合層をさらに含み、前記結合層は、前記凹みカップ内に設けられた融解温度が少なくとも900℃の“ろう”の層である、工具組立体。
- 前記凹みカップは、底面、前記工具インサートを挿入させる開口部、および前記底面を前記開口部に連結する側壁を有する、請求項1記載の工具組立体。
- 前記結合層は、前記底面上に配置されている、請求項2記載の工具組立体。
- 前記結合層は、前記側壁上に配置されている、請求項2または3記載の工具組立体。
- 前記“ろう”層は、ディスクの形をしている、請求項1~3のうちいずれか一に記載の工具組立体。
- 前記“ろう”層は、環状体の形をしている、請求項1~4のうちいずれか一に記載の工具組立体。
- 前記“ろう”層は、パラジウム系合金から成る、請求項1~6のうちいずれか一に記載の工具組立体。
- 冷却システムをさらに含む、請求項1~7のうちいずれか一に記載の工具組立体。
- 前記冷却システムは、前記工具ホルダの底面に隣接してまたは該底面の近くに位置決めされている、請求項8記載の工具組立体。
- 前記冷却システムは、前記工具ホルダの側壁に隣接してまたは該側壁の近くに位置決めされている、請求項8または9記載の工具組立体。
- 前記冷却システムは、導管網を含む、請求項8~10のうちいずれか一に記載の工具組立体。
- 前記冷却システムは、蛇行状パターンをなして設けられた単一の導管を含む、請求項8~10のうちいずれか一に記載の工具組立体。
- 前記工具インサートは、多結晶立方晶窒化ホウ素(PCBN)を含む、請求項1~12のうちいずれか一に記載の工具組立体。
- 前記工具インサートは、W‐Reを含む、請求項13記載の工具組立体。
