Claims (10)
- 電気外科用電極と電気外科用器具とを備えた電気外科システムであって、
前記電気外科用電極は、
電気外科用エネルギーを電気外科用器具から受けるように構成された近位端と、
前記近位端の反対側の遠位端と、
前記近位端から前記遠位端に延在する切断電極部であって、前記電気外科用器具から受けた前記電気外科用エネルギーを使用して組織を切断するための切断電極部と、
前記近位端から前記遠位端に延在する凝固電極部であって、前記電気外科用器具から受けた前記電気外科用エネルギーを使用して組織を凝固させるための凝固電極部と、
前記切断電極部と前記凝固電極部との間の絶縁体と、
前記近位端と前記遠位端との間に延在する第1の側部と、
前記近位端と前記遠位端との間に延在する第2の側部と、
前記第1の側部と前記第2の側部との間の第1の横接続部にある第1の縁部と、
前記第1の側部と前記第2の側部との間の第2の横接続部にある第2の縁部と、
を備え、
前記第1の側部が、前記第1の縁部および前記第2の縁部を通って延在する中間面の一側にあり、前記第2の側部が前記中間面の他側にあり、
前記切断電極部が前記第1の縁部を含み、前記凝固電極部が前記第2の縁部を含み、前記第1の縁部が前記第2の縁部よりも薄く、
前記電気外科用器具は、
遠位端および近位端を有する筐体と、
前記電気外科用電極を電気外科用発電機に結合するように構成された少なくとも1つの導電体と、
前記電気外科用電極の前記近位端に結合するように構成された前記遠位端に位置するレセプタクルと、
切断手術モードおよび凝固手術モード間を選択するように構成された少なくとも1つのユーザ入力装置と、
を備えており、
前記切断手術モードでは、前記電気外科用器具が、前記電気外科用エネルギーを、前記少なくとも1つの導電体から前記電気外科用電極の前記切断電極部に供給し、前記電気外科用電極の凝固電極部には供給せず、
前記凝固手術モードでは、前記電気外科用器具が、前記電気外科用エネルギーを、前記少なくとも1つの導電体から前記電気外科用電極の少なくとも前記凝固電極部に供給するように構成されている、電気外科システム。 - 前記切断電極部の表面積が、前記凝固電極部の表面積よりも小さい、請求項1に記載の電気外科システム。
- 前記切断電極部が、前記近位端と前記遠位端との間の電気外科用電極の全長にわたって、前記凝固電極部から離されている、請求項1に記載の電気外科システム。
- 前記絶縁体が、プラスチック、セラミック、および、ほうろうからなる群から選択される材料を含む、請求項1に記載の電気外科システム。
- 前記電気外科用電極が、取り外し可能でない連結によってレセプタクルに結合されている、請求項1~4の何れか一項に記載の電気外科システム。
- 前記少なくとも1つのユーザ入力装置が、
前記電気外科用発電機に前記電気外科用エネルギーを前記切断電極部に供給させるように動作可能な第1のユーザ入力装置と、
前記電気外科用発電機に前記電気外科用エネルギーを前記凝固電極部に供給させるように動作可能な第2のユーザ入力装置と、を含む、請求項1に記載の電気外科システム。 - 前記少なくとも1つの導電体が、
前記切断電極部を前記電気外科用発電機に結合するように構成された第1の導電体と、
前記凝固電極部を前記電気外科用発電機に結合するように構成された第2の導電体と、を備える、請求項1に記載の電気外科システム。 - 前記電気外科用器具に結合された電気外科用発電機であって、電気外科用エネルギーを前記電気外科用器具に供給するように構成されている、電気外科用発電機をさらに含み、
前記電気外科用発電機が、
前記切断電極部と前記凝固電極部との間の組織を介した電気的特性のうちの少なくとも1つを測定し、
前記電気的特性のうちの前記少なくとも1つに基づいて、前記電気外科用電極が前記電気外科用エネルギーを印加した組織の特性を決定するように構成されている、請求項1に記載の電気外科システム。 - 前記電気外科用発電機が、前記切断電極部と前記凝固電極部との間で測定された抵抗または電圧のうちの少なくとも1つに基づいて、前記電気外科用器具に供給される前記電気外科用エネルギーの出力または波形のうちの少なくとも1つを変更するように構成され、
前記電気的特性が、インピーダンス、電圧、容量、および、インダクタンスからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの電気的特性であり、
前記組織の前記特性が、前記組織のインピーダンス、前記組織の含水量、前記組織の密度、前記組織の脂肪含量、および、前記組織の温度からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの特性である、請求項8に記載の電気外科システム。 - 前記中間面は前記絶縁体を通って延在し、前記絶縁体は前記第1の側部から前記第2の側部まで全体的に延在する、請求項1に記載の電気外科システム。
