Description
Li1+xNiyCozMn(1-y-z)MαO2-βQβ (I)
正極活物質として、表1に示すBET比表面積と平均粒子径(D50)を有するLiNi0.50Co0.20Mn0.30O2を用意した。なお、比較例3の正極活物質は、中実粒子であり、各実施例およびその他の比較例の正極活物質は、中空粒子であった。
各評価用リチウムイオン二次電池に対して、1/3Cの電流値で初期充電を施した後、60℃で24時間エージング処理を施した。その後、各評価用リチウムイオン二次電池をSOC(State of charge)50%に調整した後、25℃の環境下に置いた。種々の電流値で所定のカット電圧まで、各評価用リチウムイオン二次電池を放電させ、電池電圧がカット電圧に到達する時間(秒)を測定した。この測定結果に基づき、10秒でカット電圧に到達する出力(10秒出力)を求めた。比較例1の出力を「1.00」とした場合の、比較例1に対する各実施例およびその他の比較例の出力の比を算出した。結果を表1に示す。

前記正極活物質の平均粒子径(D50)に対するBET比表面積の比は、0.62以上であり、
前記非水電解液は、非水溶媒と、電解質塩と、を含有し、
前記非水溶媒は、酢酸メチルを含有する、非水電解液二次電池。
[2]前記非水溶媒が、前記酢酸メチルを3体積%~30体積%含有する、項[1]に記載の非水電解液二次電池。
[3]前記正極活物質の平均粒子径(D50)に対するBET比表面積の比が、0.80以上である、項[1]または[2]に記載の非水電解液二次電池。
[4]前記正極活物質層が、導電材としてカーボンナノチューブをさらに含有する、項[1]~[3]のいずれか1項に記載の非水電解液二次電池。
[5]前記正極活物質が、中空粒子である、項[1]~[4]のいずれか1項に記載の非水電解液二次電池。
[6]前記リチウムニッケルコバルトマンガン系複合酸化物において、リチウム以外の金属元素の合計に対するニッケルの割合が、50モル%以上である、項[1]~[5]のいずれか1項に記載の非水電解液二次電池。
[7]ハイブリッド車の車両駆動電源用である、項[1]~[6]のいずれか1項に記載の非水電解液二次電池。

を備える非水電解液二次電池であって、
前記正極は、正極活物質を含有する正極活物質層を有し、
前記正極活物質は、リチウムニッケルコバルトマンガン系複合酸化物であり、
前記正極活物質のBET比表面積が、1.8m2/g~2.8m2/gであり、
前記正極活物質の平均粒子径(D50)に対するBET比表面積の比は、0.62以上であり、
前記非水電解液は、非水溶媒と、電解質塩と、を含有し、
前記非水溶媒は、酢酸メチルを3体積%~30体積%含有する、非水電解液二次電池。 - 前記正極活物質の平均粒子径(D50)に対するBET比表面積の比が、0.80以上である、請求項1に記載の非水電解液二次電池。
- 前記正極活物質層が、導電材としてカーボンナノチューブをさらに含有する、請求項1に記載の非水電解液二次電池。
- 前記正極活物質が、中空粒子である、請求項1に記載の非水電解液二次電池。
- 前記リチウムニッケルコバルトマンガン系複合酸化物において、リチウム以外の金属元素の合計に対するニッケルの割合が、50モル%以上である、請求項1に記載の非水電解液二次電池。
- ハイブリッド車の車両駆動電源用である、請求項1に記載の非水電解液二次電池。
