- 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 (1) 液晶層を二枚の透明基板で挾持し、その透
明基板の外側に偏光板を設けた液晶表示セルにお
いて、観察側の透明基板とその外側の偏光板との
間に該透明基板より屈折率の小さな数ミクロン以
上の薄い屈折層を設けたことを特徴とする液晶表
示セル。 (2) 屈折層は、空気あるいは真空の層であるこ
とを特徴とする実用新案登録請求の範囲第１項記
載の液晶表示セル。
