５は給電口、６は無電極放電ランプ、７は円筒形
金属メツシユ、８はマイクロ波空胴、１１は送風
用ブロアーフアン、１４，１５はノズルである。
なお、各図中同一符号は同一または相当部分を示
す。

電ランプをマイクロ波空胴内に配設するとともに
、上記無電極放電ランプの重力方向より上記マイ
クロ波空胴の壁面に設けられた給電口を介してマ
イクロ波を給電するようにし、かつ上記無電極ラ
ンプを強制空冷するようにした手段を有したマイ
クロ波放電光源装置において、上記強制空冷手段
は、この強制空冷手段より吹き出される冷却風が
上記無電極放電ランプの重力方向に対し角度的に
ずれて吹き出し可能に構成されていることを特徴
