Claims

[Claims for Utility Model Registration] (1) Consisting of an upper body and a lower body, the upper body is pivotally supported by the lower body so as to be freely openable and closable, and the lower body is provided with an image forming unit that can be freely attached to and detached from the lower body. In the image forming apparatus, a holding member for removably holding the image forming unit is provided on the lower body so as to be movable in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the image forming unit, and the holding member holds the image forming unit in a removable manner. An image forming apparatus that moves between a position where image formation is possible and a position where image formation is not possible.
