Files (grinding tools) that have traditionally been widely used in the work process of polishing, grinding, and shaping objects made of synthetic resin, wood, metal, etc. are plates made of high carbon steel. , rod-shaped bodies with numerous protrusions or grooves with sharp edges formed on the surface are mainly used. In addition, in everyday life, a nail sharpening file is used as a small tool for sharpening and shaping the nails of feet and hands.

However, as mentioned above, most of the various files used in various fields are made of metal, so while they have great toughness, the blades tend to dull with use and are also prone to rust. The deterioration of grinding characteristics is significant. In addition, because of its high toughness, the blade is formed by drilling protrusions or grooves in an oblique direction, but in this case, the protrusions and grooves are also formed at acute angles, similar to the angle of the formed blade. Because of this, the chips generated during grinding are
It has disadvantages such as easy clogging at the base of the gouged protrusion or in the groove, leading to early deterioration of grinding characteristics.

This project was developed in view of the above-mentioned shortcomings of conventional metal files. It is made of ceramic, has no fear of clogging or rusting, and has minimal deterioration in polishing and grinding properties. That is.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be explained in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a plan view of a nail sharpening file 1. As shown in enlarged cross-sections in FIGS. A concave blade part 3 consisting of a straight blade part 3 and a straight blade part 5 having a large number of straight protrusions 4 arranged side by side are formed. Therefore, the corners 2a and 4a formed by the stepped portion 2 and the protrusion 4 function as blades for objects to be ground such as claws, but among these corners 2a and 4a, the concave blade portion 3 In such cases, an acute angle of 90 degrees or less may be used because it is protected from the surroundings and the object to be ground is soft. In order to maintain the stability and strength of the protrusion 4, the angle 4a is preferably 80 degrees or more or an obtuse angle.

Further, the embodiment shown in FIG. 3 is a key chain type nail sharpener 1a, in which a protrusion 7 is integrally molded in a curved recess formed on the outer periphery, and a tip corner of the protrusion 7 is used to sharpen nails or other objects. It consists of a file that can be used to sharpen objects.

By the way, the files 1 and 1a shown in the above embodiment
is made of ceramic, but files used to sharpen or shave nails, or for grinding synthetic resin or wood products, are made of highly wear-resistant alumina (A1 2 O 3 ) ceramic, silicon carbide, or silicon nitride. However, for high-strength objects such as metal objects, zirconia ceramics, which have high hardness, high wear resistance, and great toughness, can be used. The one configured is optimal. In addition, each ceramic has its own unique color, such as alumina ceramic being white and silicon carbide being black, but various metal oxides may be mixed in as needed to create colors such as red, blue, and yellow. It is also possible to use colored ceramics.

Note that the size, distribution density, shape, etc. of the protrusions such as the stepped portion 2 and protrusions 4, 7 forming the blade formed on the file 1, 1a depend on the hardness, form, finish roughness, etc. of the object to be ground. There are no particular limitations, but the angle of the edge (corner) forming the blade should be 90°, except for special cases.
It can be said that an obtuse angle or more than a degree is generally suitable.

Further, it goes without saying that the file can have any shape such as a rectangular, triangular, circular, or semicircular cross section.

As described above, according to the present invention, a plurality of protrusions are formed on a ceramic body, and the ridge corners of the protrusions are used as blades, which is relatively lightweight and prevents rusting. Since it has high wear resistance without causing clogging with chips, it is possible to provide a file that has excellent abrasive and grinding properties over a long period of time.
