The number of items sold and the sales amount are accumulated by department code in the department memory. Further, in electronic cash registers of stores where a plurality of operating managers (cashiers) work in shifts, a memory for each cashier is formed to accumulate sales data of sold products for each cashier.

This electronic price scale has the unit price per unit weight of the weighed and sold product set in the storage section, and by measuring the weight of the weighed and sold product in the weighing section, the sales amount can be calculated from this measured weight and the corresponding unit price. The product name and sales amount are printed on a receipt and issued. Then, the clerk looks at the issued receipt and operates the keyboard of the electronic cash register to input the department code and sales amount of the weighed product. Then, the sales amount etc. entered by key personnel are accumulated by department code or by cashier.

It is. However, even if such fraud occurs,
Since there were no ambiguous points in the contents of the departmental memory or cashier's memory, it was difficult to discover them even after inspection or payment. In particular, the prices of products sold by weight vary each time they are sold, and only the sales clerk manually enters the keystrokes while looking at the receipt, making it easy for the above-mentioned fraud to occur.

If it becomes easier to detect fraud, this type of fraud will naturally stop happening.

A specific code setting means B is provided for setting at least one of the department codes, and a memory C for each person in charge is provided for accumulating sales data of products of the specific department code set by this setting means B for each person in charge of operation. At the same time, a specific department code determining means E is provided for determining whether or not a sales product whose sales data is input from the input section is a product with the above-mentioned specific department code. In this case, a manager-specific memory updating means F is provided for updating the sales data in the manager-specific memory C based on the sales data of the product.

Furthermore, it goes without saying that the department may be a department other than the department to which the metered sales product belongs. However, in this case, it is necessary to manage the sales of normally sold products by some method other than an electronic cash register. Further, in the embodiment described above, a case was shown in which the cashier's sales are printed and issued on a receipt in response to the cashier's sign-off process, but the receipt may also be issued as an inspection report or a settlement report.
