グホイールアセンブリを連結したステアリング装
置において、ステアリングコラムのボデー側への
取付部位からステアリングホイールまでの間に、
内部に液状体を封入可能で封入された液状体をス
テアリングコラムと一体的に変位させることが可
能な液状体タンクを設け、該液状体タンクに、該
液状体タンクに液状体を送給するとともに液状体
タンクから液状体を排出可能な液状体送給・排出
手段を連結し、該液状体送給・排出手段の作動を
制御する制御装置に、車速検出器、オートマチツ
クトランスミツシヨンのギヤレンジが前進走行レ
ンジであるか否かを検出するギヤレンジ検出手段
、少なくとも前記液状体タンク内に液状体が充満
されているか否かを検出可能な液状体タンク内液
量検出器、ブレーキの作動を検出するブレーキ作
