媒体上にデータを記録再生する回転ヘツド方式の
磁気記録再生装置において、前記磁気ヘツドとし
て消去用、記録用および再生用の３種を個別に備
えるとともに、前記消去用磁気ヘツドを、前記磁
気記録媒体の移動方向に対し前記回転ドラムの手
前側に配設し、前記記録用磁気ヘツドと再生用磁
気ヘツドとを、互いに近接させ且つ前記記録用磁
気ヘツドを前記回転ドラムの回転方向の前方側に
位置させて当該回転ドラムに配設し、前記記録用
磁気ヘツドにより前記磁気記録媒体に記録された
記録信号を前記再生用磁気ヘツドで再生した再生
信号の信号レベルを検出するとともに、この検出
した信号レベルを所定レベルと比較する信号レベ
ル検出回路を設けてなることを特徴とする磁気記
