Claims (1)
- ハウジングを上下に貫通する軸孔の内周面およ
び該軸孔に挿通されたシヤフトの外周面にそれぞ
れ気密的に装着されて互いに密接摺動する硬度の
異なる１対の摺動リングを有し、軟質摺動リング
を硬質摺動リングの下側に位置させるとともに、
該軟質摺動リングの上端摺動面に、該摺動面と同
心の環状溝を有するドライ摺動型メカニカルシー
ルにおいて、軟質摺動リングの摺動面のうち、環
状溝の外周の補助摺動面に、該環状溝とシール外
周の空間とを結ぶ切欠を設けるとともに、該切欠
の底面を外周側が低くなるように傾斜させ、かつ
該底面の内周端を環状溝の底面以下の高さとした
ことを特徴とするドライ摺動型メカニカルシール
。
