して、電極の端部を前記基体の基端部付近まで引
き出し、電極の端部を外部リードに接続すると共
に、 前記のセンサ本体を突出させるように、前記の
基体を金属ハウジングに収容して、金属ハウジン
グの先端部付近で、基体をセメントにより金属ハ
ウジングに固着し、かつ金属ハウジングからの基
体の突出部を、排ガス導入口を有する保護カバー
で覆つた、排ガスセンにおいて、 前記セメントをアルカリ性セメントとすると共
に、 前記セメントの保護カバー側に、セメントを排
ガスから遮断するためのスペーサーを設けたこと
を特徴とする、排ガスセンサ。 (2) 前記耐熱絶縁性基体を、その先端部付近に
