    ーと加圧ローラーとにより加熱・加圧して上記ト
    ナー像を転写紙上に定着する方式の画像形成装置
    であつて、 画像形成プロセスを制御する制御手段を有し、 パワーオン直後に、上記温度制御のための温度
    検出手段により検出される上記定着ローラーの温
    度を、所定の基準温度と比較し、 定着ローラーの温度が上記基準温度より低いと
    きは画像形成装置の準備駆動を行い、定着ローラ
    ーの温度が上記基準温度以上のときは上記準備駆
    動を省略することを特徴とする画像形成装置。
