Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent exfoliation of a recording film by influence of an adhesive layer by using a foam subjected to a foaming operation to form a base material of a double-coated adhesive tape. CONSTITUTION:The base material of the double-coated adhesive tape 4 is formed of the foam subjected to the foaming operation when said tape is used for sticking optical disk substrates 1 of veneers to each other with the recording film 3 side faced on the inner side or sticking the optical disk substrate of the veneer and a dummy disk substrate having no recording film 3 with the recording film 3 side of the disk substrate 1 faced on the inner side. Softness is particularly excellent when this foam is a closed cell foam. The optical disk which is stronger to a change in environmental conditions is thereby obtd. and the exfoliation of the recording film is prevented.

Conventionally, optical discs that record and reproduce information using light have a recording film formed on one side of a substrate made of transparent plastic or the like using a vacuum film forming method such as sputtering or vapor deposition. A method is used in which the optical disk substrate is attached with the optical disc substrate facing inside and having a recording film of the same structure, or a dummy disk substrate having the same diameter and no recording film. The dummy disk substrate is usually made of the same material as the optical disk substrate having the recording film, but it is not necessarily limited to this, and may be a crystalline glass substrate, an aluminum substrate, or the like. Optical disc substrate is injection molded,
A recording film, a protective film, etc. are formed on a substrate on which groups are formed by a 2P method or a direct cut method.

However, when a structure is adopted in which the entire surface of the disk is bonded among the bonding methods with the recording film inside, there is a problem in that the recording film peels off due to the influence of the adhesive layer used for bonding. In other words, when using an adhesive such as an ultraviolet curing resin or a two-component thermal resin, when the disk tries to deform due to changes in environmental conditions, stress is generated due to the difference in the amount of deformation between the disc and the adhesive layer. There is a problem that the film may peel off due to this stress.0 For example, as a reference example, an optical disk bonded with epoxy acrylate-based ultraviolet curing resin was made and an environmental test was conducted at 70°C and 90%. Peeling of the recording film occurred over the entire surface.

Furthermore, when a double-sided adhesive tape is used for bonding, there is a problem in that the base material that covers most of the adhesive layer does not stretch sufficiently, causing stress to occur due to changes in environmental conditions and causing the recording film to peel off.

The optical disk of the present invention can be produced by bonding two single-layer optical disk substrates with the recording film side inside using double-sided adhesive tape, or by bonding a single-layer optical disk substrate and a dummy disk substrate without a recording film. The present invention is an optical disc in which an optical disc substrate is bonded with a double-sided adhesive tape with the recording film side facing inside, and the base material of the double-sided adhesive tape is a foamed foam.

In order to obtain sufficient softness with an adhesive, it is necessary to change the components and molecular weight of the adhesive itself, and it is extremely difficult to do this without degrading adhesive properties and other properties.

On the other hand, in order to obtain sufficient softness with a double-sided adhesive tape, it is sufficient to soften the base material that covers most of the adhesive layer, which is relatively easier than softening the adhesive. Furthermore, in the case of double-sided adhesive tapes, the adhesive can be freely selected regardless of the base material, so there is no significant deterioration of various properties such as adhesive strength. The present invention uses a foamed foam as the substrate of double-sided adhesive tapes. This is based on the discovery that full-surface bonding with excellent long-term reliability is possible.

When the foam is a closed cell foam, it is a particularly desirable base material because it has particularly excellent softness.
