Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the title container so designed that part of a partition wall with air replenishing ports is formed so as to be higher in level than the water surface when the lower space is filled with water, and the space under said part is served as an air reservoir, thus preventing the plant from death due to oxygen shortage. CONSTITUTION:Part of a partition wall 32 is formed so as to be higher in level than the water surface 42 when the lower space 37 is filled with water thus the space under said part is served as an air reservoir, a conically projected portion 32a on the central area of the partition wall 32 is provided with air replenishing ports 40.... A water-absorbing stick 39 is inserted through a penetrating hole 38 at the center of the interior of the container, its front reaching a receiving tray 35. The upper space 34 is charged with soil 33, while the lower space 37 is fed with water 36 through the receiving tray 35. In this case. the above-mentioned air reservoir 37a is formed under the partition wall 32 even if the water surface 42 reaches the level near the bottom surface of the partition wall 32, therefore, enabling the air secured to be fed to the root of the plant via the ports 40..., thus always feeding the root with a sufficient amount of O2 to prevent oxygen defect leading to favorable growth of the plant.

2. Description of the Related Art Some plant cultivation containers, such as flower pots, are designed to suck up water stored in the lower part with a water absorption means and supply water to the soil inside the pot. This container, as seen in the second @,
A partition wall 2 is provided at a height near the bottom of a peripheral wall 1 with an open upper end to separate the upper and lower parts of the container, with an upper space 4 in which soil 3 is placed in the upper part, and an upper space 4 in which water 6 is placed in a saucer 5 in the lower part. A lower space 7 is formed in which storage is possible. An insertion hole 8 is opened at the center of the surface of the partition wall 2, and the water 6 is sucked up through a water absorption stick 9 passed through the hole 8, so that the water 6 is replenished to the soil 3. It has become. The water absorbing means of the water absorbing stick 9 is:
Cotton thread, string, porous plastic material, etc. are used. In other parts of the partition wall 2, there are a large number of air supply holes 10 that communicate with the upper and lower spaces 4 and 7, and through these holes 10, air above the water surface 11 in the lower space 7 is opened. Air is supplied from the space 12 to the soil 3.

Incidentally, the partition wall 2 is located low near the bottom of the container in order to hold a large amount of soil 3 and increase stability when installed. As you can see, it was installed very close to the water surface 11 when the water was full, so the space 12 above the water surface 11 when the water was full.
The area became very narrow and air could not be sufficiently supplied to soil 3. As a result, the roots of the planted plants were damaged due to lack of oxygen, or the roots rotted, causing the potted plants to wither. .

FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of the plant cultivation container according to the present invention together with a saucer. As shown in the figure, this container is placed on a saucer 35 into which water 36 is placed, and its outer periphery is a peripheral wall 31. This peripheral wall 31 has a cylindrical shape that slightly widens upward, as is usually seen, and both its upper and lower ends are open. An integral partition wall 32 is provided at a lower height of the peripheral wall 31, and this peripheral wall 3
2 divides the inside of the container into upper and lower parts. Its upper part is an upper space 34 into which soil 33 is placed, and its lower part is a lower space 37 in which water 36 is stored in a saucer 35. An insertion hole 38 is opened at the center of the surface of the partition wall 32, and the water 36 is sucked up through a water absorption stick 39 passed through the hole 38.
6 is supplied to the soil 33. As described above, the water absorbing means, which is the water absorbing stick 39, is made of cotton thread, string, or a porous plastic material.

A water absorption stick 39 is inserted into the insertion hole 38 at the center of the plant cultivation container, and the container is placed on the installed saucer 35. Soil 33 is placed in the upper space 34, and water 36 is poured into the lower space 37 through a saucer 35. When a large amount of water 36 is added, the water surface 42 reaches near the bottom of the partition wall 32, and the gap between the partition wall 32 and the water surface 42 becomes extremely narrow.

In the container according to the present invention, since an air pocket is formed on the lower side of the partition wall, air is secured in the air pocket even if a large amount of water is poured into the container. Oxygen is supplied to the plant roots through the supply holes, so the roots are always supplied with a sufficient amount of oxygen and do not suffer from oxygen deficiency.
Plants grow well.
