Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve miniaturization, by a method wherein a printing head mounts a LED array and a driver element respectively on other surface of a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A printing head A is composed by containing a substrate 4, a LED array 4 for photoelectric transfer mounted on an upper surface of this substrate 4, and a driver element 5 mounted on side face of the substrate 4. The purpose of this driver element 5 is to supply a current to the LED array 3. Since the LED array 3 is thus mounted on the upper surface of the substrate 4 and driver element 5 is mounted on the side surface thereof, a size of the substrate 4 opposed to a photosensitive drum 1 and the length(l) of the substrate can be comparatively scale-reduced.
