The adhesive layer, metal layer, color layer, and release layer of the transfer foil are transferred and formed only on the toner by heating and pressing the transfer foil in which the adhesive layer surfaces are brought into contact and then peeling off the base material. , produced copy paper with metallic luster letters and patterns.

This is how it works due to the principle of copying. The principle of copying is: ■ The metal substrate (photosensitive drum) inside the copy machine is made conductive and charged. ■ When the image is focused on the substrate through a lens, the areas exposed to light tend to conduct electricity. This means that the charge is lost, and the toner adheres only to charged areas and does not adhere to other areas. If the material to be copied, for example transfer foil, is conductive, there may be areas that are not exposed to light. The charge is lost and toner no longer adheres to the photosensitive drum. Therefore, toner does not adhere to a transfer foil having a metal layer because the metal layer has conductivity.

Apply toner on the desired characters and patterns by copying, and then apply the toner and the corresponding adhesive layer, insulating metal layer, color layer, and release layer to the copy paper or desired paper, leather, or plastic. This is a copying transfer foil for transferring onto objects such as.

As described in Japanese Patent No. 189, the transfer foil has a metal vapor deposited layer having an insulating property as an island structure. That is, a plastic film is used as the base material 1, a release layer 2 and a color layer 5 are sequentially provided on the base material 1 using a suitable resin, and a metal vapor deposition layer with an island-like structure is further formed using Sn or the like on top of this to provide insulation. The transfer foil for copying was prepared by providing a metal layer 4 with a transparent coating, and then providing an adhesive layer 5 thereon with an appropriate resin.

Furthermore, one layer may serve as both the release layer 2 and the color layer 3, and such a layer is also included in the present invention. Note that the insulating gold i-layer 4 may be made by adding metal powder or the like in a certain amount or less to make it insulating even though it has metallic luster; Included in this invention.

Next, a rosin resin and a urea-melamine copolymer resin are applied and dried using a gravure coater to form an uncolored color layer, and then a Sn vapor deposition layer with an island-like structure is formed by vacuum vapor deposition to form an insulating metal layer. formed a layer. Next, an acrylic resin and titanium oxide were coated and dried using a reverse coater to form an adhesive layer to obtain a copying transfer foil of the present invention.

After that, this was applied to copy paper, postcards, embossed paper, art paper, leather, and plastic as transfer objects, and the toner-adhered surfaces were brought into contact with each other, heated and pressed with a hot roll, and then the base materials were peeled off. The toner and only the corresponding parts of the adhesive layer, insulating metal layer, color layer, and release layer were transferred onto the transfer object, and beautiful silver-colored letters were obtained in all cases.
