Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a glaze capable of furnishing a pottery product, having gentle and calm semiglossy appearance with physiological activating, freshness retaining, taste improving action, etc., by mixing a glaze with pearl powder. CONSTITUTION:A glaze obtained by mixing a glaze used for pottery with pearl powder. The mixing ratio is preferably within a range so as to normally provide 80:20-5:95 weight ratio of glaze solid to pearl powder. The resultant glaze obtained by mixing the pearl powder is applied to a pottery body and calcined to provide a pottery product having semiglossy appearance. The obtained pottery product is then used as a teacup and SAKE (Japanese rice wine), green tea, coffee, etc., are placed therein to mellowly improve taste thereof. In the case of the SAKE, drunken sickness is eliminated. If vegetables, laver, etc., are placed therein, freshness thereof is retained. In case the pottery product is used as a flower wave, freshness of natural flowers is retained to improve vase life thereof.
