Conventional configurations and their problems A combustor that uses a straight wick and a combustion tube is suitable as a home heater because it has a short depth and takes up little space indoors, but the structure of the combustion tube Because it is flat, it is easily deformed by thermal stress and thermal expansion caused by combustion, and as combustion and rest are repeated, the perforated plate etc. deform, and the width of the combustion chamber formed by them changes. This has the disadvantage that it tends to cause uneven and incomplete combustion. In order to overcome this drawback, a method has been proposed in which slit-like cuts are made in the vertical direction of the perforated plate.
In this method, expansion due to heat is absorbed by the notches, and even if deformation occurs, the deformation remains within the range between the notches, making it less likely that partial deformation will affect a large area, making it more effective. It was a method. However, because it does not have the ability to hold back deformation in the front and back, the perforated plate divided by the notches, especially in the upper part of the perforated plate, expands and deforms to a different degree due to the difference in temperature, causing displacement in the front and rear direction. The gap between the parts becomes large and a large amount of air enters, causing abnormal combustion, and large deformation causes a change in the area of the combustion chamber, causing uneven combustion.

When combustion occurs in the combustion chamber formed by the gap between the perforated plates 3 and 5, the temperature difference between the perforated plates 3 and 5, where the upper part is higher and the lower part is lower, causes a dimensional difference due to thermal expansion, which causes deformation. It is known to absorb this dimensional difference and prevent deformation by making slit-like cuts 3b and 5b in the perforated plates 3 and 5.
However, another cause of deformation is the temperature difference that occurs between the combustion chamber side surface of the perforated plate and its back surface, and the expansion coefficient of the higher temperature combustion chamber side surface increases, generating an outward bending force. If the temperature is non-uniform in the longitudinal direction of the combustion chamber, the perforated plate will bend uniformly, but in reality, there is some degree of non-uniformity in temperature, so the perforated plate is bent between each block divided by the notches. The degree of deformation is different, and the blocks are shifted back and forth, so the cross-sectional area of the opening of the notch becomes wider, allowing excessive air to flow in, and the width of the combustion chamber becomes uneven.

According to this configuration, by inserting the upper parts of the perforated plates 3 and 5 into the grooves of the guide plates 4 and 6, deformation occurs between the blocks of the perforated plates 3 and 5 divided by the notches 3b and 5b. Since the deviation of the block is regulated by the groove and each block has the same shape, problems caused by deviation can be prevented. Furthermore, by absorbing dimensional changes due to thermal expansion in the vertical direction in the gap between the perforated plate and the groove, it is possible to prevent the influence of dimensional changes on other components.
