Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、使い棄てのおむつ、衛生パッド、そ
の他の使い棄て製品に関し、特に、吸収パツドの
形状を維持すると共に、液体の逆滲出を防ぐため
液体で濡れても強度を有する疎水性の薄いワツデ
イングを有する使い棄ておむつに関するものであ
る。
使い棄ておむつは、ウツドフラフ又は類似の材
料で形成された吸収パツドを有するものが周知で
ある。このパツドは、薄いワツデイングと共に用
いられているが、従来用いられたワツデイングは
液体浸透性及び液体吸収性の高いものであつた。
このワツデイングは吸収パツドを包んで用いられ
るが、液体を受けると強度を失い、そのため、お
むつの使用中にパツドの形状がくずれ、吸収性が
悪くなり、液体の逆滲出が多くなる傾向が著しか
つた。
液体の逆滲出を防ぐ手段を設ける試みがなされ
た（例えば米国特許第3987792号）が、この米国
特許の疎水性繊維で作られた逆滲出防止層は、比
較的厚い弾性的な繊維パツドであつて、液体の透
過が困難なため、液体浸透性の上側シートに液体
供給孔を設けることが必要であつた。
本発明の目的は、吸収パツドの形状を保持する
ことができると共に、吸収パツドからの逆流を防
止し得、おむつの嵩や寸法を増加せずに充分な量
の吸収パツドを収容できる、使い棄ておむつを提
供することにある。
かかる目的を達成するため、本発明の使い棄て
おむつは、疎水性の不織材料からなり、かつ、流
体を通過させうるが流体を吸収しない、上側シー
トと、吸収パツドと、該吸収パツドを包み、該吸
収パツドの形状を保持すると共に該吸収パツドか
らの流体の逆流を防止する、薄いワツデイング
と、流体不透過性の裏側シートとを有し、前記上
側シートと前記裏側シートとの間に前記ワツデイ
ングで包まれた前記吸収パツドを保持してなる、
使い棄ておむつであつて、前記ワツデイングがポ
リエチレンとポリプロピレンとから選択された不
織繊維製の薄葉体で構成され、前記上側シートが
ポリエチレンとポリプロピレンとから選択された
不織繊維で構成されていることを特徴とする。
かかる構成の使い棄ておむつによれば、ワツデ
イングをポリエチレンとポリプロピレンとから選
択された不織繊維製の薄葉体で構成したから、こ
のワツデイングは十分に大きな強度を有し、この
ワツデイングで包まれた吸収パツドの形状は確実
に保持される。また、ポリエチレンやポリプロピ
レン等の疎水性材料で構成されたワツデイング
と、ポリエチレンとポリプロピレンとから選択さ
れた不織繊維で構成された上側シートとの組み合
わせによつて、優れた逆流防止作用を得ることが
できるから、吸収パツド中に一旦吸収された体液
が逆流して使用者の体を濡らす可能性を少なくす
ることができる。更に、吸収パツドを包むワツデ
イングは薄いから、使い棄ておむつの嵩や寸法を
増加させることがなく、よつて、ワツデイングの
使用によつて吸収パツドの容量を減少させる必要
はない。
以下、図面を参照しつつ本発明の実施例を詳細
に説明する。
本発明の一実施例である使い棄ておむつ１０
は、ポリエチレン又はポリプロピレンの繊維又は
それらの混合体である疎水性材料で作られた上側
シート１２を有する。この層は水を透過し水を吸
収せず、排泄液を吸収パツド１４へ通過させる。
水を浸透しない裏側シート２０は適当な合成樹
脂材料例えばポリエチレンのフイルムからなるも
のである。裏側シートは２２で上側シートの上に
折り返されて上側シートに固着され、おむつを組
立状態に保つ。組立手段として接着剤、ヒートシ
ール、エンボシングその他の手段を用いることが
できる。
吸収パツド１４はウツドフラフ又は薄い多数の
層の紙類似材料で作るのが好ましく、吸収性の高
いものである。このパツド材料は力を受けると容
易に撓む。
ワツデイング２６は疎水性の不織繊維（好まし
くはポリエチレン又はポリプロピレン又はそれら
の混合）の、薄くかつ高い強度を有する材料で形
成され、パツドを包みその形状を維持するもので
ある。ワツデイング２６の材料は疎水性で濡れた
時の強度が高く、液体を吸収せず、従つて液体が
通過しても強度が低下しない。この疎水性材料
は、液体が逆に滲出することを防ぎ、疎水性の上
側シートと協働して、パツド１４へ液体を容易に
通過させるが、液体が逆に滲出するのを防ぐ機能
に優れている。従つて、このワツデイングは従来
のワツデイングと異なり、液体を吸収しないもの
である。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. １ 疎水性の不織材料からなり、かつ、流体を通
    過させうるが流体を吸収しない、上側シートと、
    吸収パツドと、該吸収パツドを包み、該吸収パツ
    ドの形状を保持すると共に該吸収パツドからの流
    体の逆流を防止する、薄いワツデイングと、流体
    不透過性の裏側シートとを有し、前記上側シート
    と前記裏側シートとの間に前記ワツデイングで包
    まれた前記吸収パツドを保持してなる、使い棄て
    おむつであつて、前記ワツデイングがポリエチレ
    ンとポリプロピレンとから選択された不織繊維製
    の薄葉体で構成され、前記上側シートがポリエチ
    レンとポリプロピレンとから選択された不織繊維
    で構成されていることを特徴とする、使い棄てお
    むつ。
