[Industrial Field of Application] The present invention relates to a coal granulation device for efficiently granulating coal particles in a coal/water slurry into pellets in a short time. [Conventional technology] In recent years, due to the instability of oil supply, the development of technology to effectively utilize coal has been progressing. In order to reduce the cost of transporting coal, it is effective to transport coal as a slurry, and therefore there is a current demand for the development of a device that can efficiently recover coal particles transported in slurry in a short time. Conventionally, a method of transporting slurry of coal directly from a coal-producing area has been carried out in the United States and the Soviet Union, and has been reported in the literature. [Problems to be solved by the invention] In the conventional method described above, the separation of coal particles and water after transporting the slurry is performed using a centrifugal separator. It has disadvantages such as high water content (approximately 25-39% by weight). Additionally, U.S. Pat. No. 3,665,066 discloses that, as a step before supplying coal-oil to the granulator 14, a float-sink tank 10 separates coal-oil aggregates from water-ash. , a method for blowing air is described. In this method, granulation is performed using an inclined disk type granulator 14. Therefore, in the tank 10, the coal particles are merely agglomerated by the oil. U.S. Pat. No. 2,744,626 describes a method of producing a cream-like mixture by finely mixing air in a flotation process to separate ash and water from a raw material containing coal particles. is listed. This method is intended to facilitate the separation of ash and water, and is not intended for granulation. Further, US Pat. No. 2,769,538 describes a method in which air blowing is performed in order to separate various hydrophilic substances in the flotation process. This method involves attaching hydrophobic substances to bubbles and separating them, and is not intended for granulation, but is a flotation method itself. The present invention was developed in view of the above points, and in the granulation process of granulating coal particles using heavy oil, a horizontal granulation device is used and gas is blown to promote agglomeration of coal particles. With,
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a coal granulation device that is capable of granulating coal at a faster granulation speed than conventional granulation speeds by reducing the flow in the granulation device with less back mixing in the longitudinal direction. That is. [Means for Solving the Problems] In order to achieve the above object, the coal granulation device of the present invention has a coal/water slurry inlet 12 at one end in the longitudinal direction, as shown in the drawing, and A horizontally long cylindrical drum 14 having a produced pellet outlet 13 at the lower end of the other end and having a large number of baffle plates 20 on the inner wall, a rotating shaft 18 provided horizontally within this cylindrical drum, and this rotating shaft. It consists of a rotating body made up of a plurality of fan turbine blades 15 attached to a cylindrical drum, and a heavy oil/granulation accelerator supply pipe 16 and a gas supply pipe 17 connected to a cylindrical drum. The reason why the apparatus of the present invention is a horizontal underwater granulation apparatus will be explained. Comparing a horizontal stirring tank and a vertical stirring tank, in the vertical stirring tank,
Although the flow state is completely mixed, horizontal stirring tanks are characterized by little mixing in the longitudinal direction. When coal fine particles are continuously supplied to a granulator, a part of the supplied fine particles will flow out together with the granules because the inside of the vertical stirring tank is completely mixed. On the other hand, in a horizontal stirring tank, there is little mixing in the longitudinal direction, and the supplied fine particles are sufficiently mixed within the tank to form granules, so they do not flow out. Therefore, by using a horizontal stirring tank, the supplied fine particles can be granulated in one tank, and the apparatus can be simplified. Furthermore, the reason why the baffle plate is provided in the apparatus of the present invention will be explained. In a horizontal stirring tank, mixing in the circumferential direction differs from the case of a vertical stirring tank in that there is no free surface, and without a baffle, the fluid will follow the stirring blades, reducing the mixing effect. Therefore, by providing a baffle plate, mixing in the circumferential direction is promoted, and the number of collisions between fine particles increases.
Granulation speed can be increased. [Operation] By blowing air, nitrogen, or other gas into the coal/water slurry and rotating the rotating body, hydrophobic coal particles and heavy oil coagulate on the surface of the bubbles in the water, causing aggregation of coal particles and heavy oil. This accelerates the granulation rate. [Example] Hereinafter, an example of the present invention will be described based on the drawings. FIGS. 1 and 2 show an embodiment of the coal granulation apparatus of the present invention. The coal granulation device in this embodiment has a coal/water slurry inlet 12 at one end.
A cylindrical drum 14 having a produced pellet outlet 13 at the other end, a rotating body such as a plurality of two inclined fan turbine blades 15 provided in the cylindrical drum 14, and connected to the lower part of the cylindrical drum 14. Heavy oil/granulation accelerator supply pipe 16 and gas supply pipe 1
It consists of 7. 18 is a rotation axis. Furthermore, a large number of baffle plates 2 are provided on the inner wall of the cylindrical drum 14.
0 is attached to promote mixing of the coal/water slurry, heavy oil, granulation accelerator, and air bubbles. Note that instead of the heavy oil/granulation accelerator supply pipe 16,
The heavy oil supply pipe and the granulation accelerator supply pipe may be connected separately. Inside the cylindrical drum 14, coal and
Water slurry, heavy oil containing granulation accelerator or its emulsion, air bubbles are tilted fan turbine blade 15
The coal/water slurry is stirred and mixed, and a flow is formed from the coal/water slurry inlet 12 to the produced pellet outlet 13, from which the produced pellets and waste liquid containing ash are extracted. In this embodiment, the ratio of the length L of the cylindrical drum 14 to the inner diameter D of the cylindrical drum 14, L/D, is about 3 to 10, the ratio of the diameter d of the rotating body to the inner diameter D of the cylindrical drum 14,
It is desirable to set d/D to about 0.4 to 0.7 and the fan turbine blade tip speed to about 1.5 to 9.0 m/sec. The heavy oil used in the present invention must have a viscosity necessary as a binder during granulation and must be relatively inexpensive. From this meaning, C
Heavy oil, B heavy oil, atmospheric distillation column bottom oil, etc. are suitable. Also, the amount of heavy oil added is 4% of that of coal on a dry basis.
~20% by weight, preferably 10-15% by weight. In addition, the granulation accelerator used in the present invention is
Anionic, nonionic, and cationic surfactants are used alone or in combination, and are appropriately selected depending on the type of coal. Specifically, anionic surfactants include alkylbenzene sulfonates, alkyl sulfate ester salts, polyoxyethylene alkyl (alkylphenol) sulfate ester salts, alkyl phosphate ester salts, dialkyl sulfosuccinate ester salts, acrylic acid and/or and maleic anhydride copolymers, polycyclic aromatic sulfonates, or formalin compounds, etc. As cationic surfactants, alkyl amine salts, quaternary amine salts, etc. are used, and nonionic surfactants Polyoxyalkyl ethers, polyoxyethylene alkyl phenol ethers, oxyethylene/oxypropylene block polymers, polyoxyethylene alkyl amines, sorbitan fatty acid esters, polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid esters, etc. are used as amphoteric surfactants. For example, alkyl betaines are used, and 1,2,3 monoamines,
Amine compounds such as diamines are used. In addition, the amount of granulation accelerator added is 0.01 of coal on a dry basis.
-5.0% by weight, preferably 0.05-2.0% by weight. Some types of coal, such as Blairsall coal from Australia, are acidic, and in such cases, the coal/water slurry may be
Adjust the pH to 6.5-10 by adding a neutralizing agent such as Ca(OH) 2 ,
Preferably, after adjusting to 7 to 9, heavy oil and a granulation accelerator are added. Note that while adding heavy oil and a granulation accelerator to the coal/water slurry, a neutralizing agent such as Ca(OH) 2 may be further added to adjust the pH to 6.5 to 10, preferably 7 to 9. The granulation in the present invention is considered to be carried out by the following process. First, the heavy oil and granulation accelerator added to the coal/water slurry are dispersed, and the granulation accelerator adsorbs onto the surface of the coal particles to modify the surface of the coal particles. Then, the heavy oil adheres to the surface of the coal particles. An oil film is formed, and then the coal particles adsorbed with heavy oil and granulation accelerator collide and come into contact with each other, coagulate and combine with oil as a binder to form a floc, which grows, and is further consolidated to form pellets. In this case, when a gas such as air or nitrogen is blown into the coal particles, air bubbles adhere to the coal particles, making it easier for oil to be adsorbed, which is thought to shorten the granulation time. Next, experimental examples and comparative examples using the apparatus of the present invention will be shown. Experimental example 1 31% water slurry of Belga coal from Alaska 2
Kg, Middle East C heavy oil (viscosity at 50℃ 137.3 centistokes, specific gravity (15/4℃) 0.9515) 6% by weight (ratio to coal), sodium dioctyl sulfosuccinate which is an anionic surfactant as a granulation accelerator was added in an amount of 0.1% by weight (based on coal), and the mixture was stirred and mixed at a stirring blade rotation speed of 400 rpm while supplying air bubbles into the mixture at 2 times per minute. The internal volume of the stirring mixing tank is 4, and the pressure inside the air supply pipe is 1.
It was Kg/ cm2 . Granulation was completed in a short time of about 20 minutes, and water and mixed pellets were separated using a vibrating sieve. The total moisture content of the resulting mixed pellets was 20% by weight, and the ash content was 6.3% by weight based on coal. The ash content of raw material Berga pulverized coal is on a dry basis (vs. coal)
It was 9.5% by weight. This decrease in ash content is thought to be due to the fact that oil easily adheres to coal and is difficult to adhere to ash content. Comparative Example To the coal/water slurry used in Experimental Example 1, 6% by weight and 0.1% by weight of the same C heavy oil and granulation accelerator as in Experimental Example 2 were added, and the stirring blades were heated without blowing air bubbles. The mixture was stirred and mixed at a rotation speed of 400 rpm. As a result,
It took approximately 40 minutes to complete granulation. Experimental Example 2 6% by weight (relative to coal) of Middle East C heavy oil (viscosity at 50°C, viscosity 137.3 centistokes, specific gravity (15/4°C) 0.9515) was added to 31% water slurry of Belga coal, and used as a granulation accelerator. When the anionic surfactant dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate was not added and when it was added at 0.1% by weight, nitrogen gas was blown at a rate of 2217 ml/min and the stirring blade was rotated at 400 rpm to mix and mix.
The internal volume of the stirring mixing tank was 4, and the pressure inside the nitrogen gas supply pipe was 1 Kg/cm 2 . As a result, the granulation time in each case was as shown in the table below.

As explained above, according to the device of the present invention,
By connecting a gas supply pipe to the cylindrical drum and blowing gas such as air or nitrogen through the gas supply pipe, hydrophobic coal particles and heavy oil aggregate on the surface of the bubbles in the water, and the coal particles and heavy oil are separated. Since agglomeration is promoted, the granulation speed can be increased and the granulation time can be shortened. Furthermore, a fixed cylindrical drum, a large number of baffle plates provided on the inner wall of this cylindrical drum, and a rotating body This action promotes the granulation of coal particles in the coal/water slurry, significantly shortening the required time, and recovering coal particles with a simple process, low power consumption, and high dewatering efficiency. Furthermore, it has the effect of being able to separate and remove a portion of the ash contained in the coal. In addition, in the device of the present invention, the cylindrical drum is horizontal, so there is less mixing in the longitudinal direction.
The supplied fine particles are sufficiently mixed in the tank to form granules, so they do not flow out. Therefore,
By using a horizontal cylindrical drum, the supplied fine particles can be granulated in one tank, and the apparatus can be simplified. Furthermore, since the apparatus of the present invention is provided with a baffle plate, mixing in the circumferential direction is promoted, the number of collisions between fine particles increases, and the granulation rate can be increased.
