Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable continuous paper to be easily cut at a position other than at perforation lines previously formed on the continuous paper, by mounting a cutting means fixing the continuous paper at and around the position to be cut and cutting the continuous paper in a shift direction. CONSTITUTION:A printer device comprises a paper cutter 1, shafts 2a, 2b, a belt 3, a paper presser 4, and a drive motor 5. The paper cutter 1 moves in the same direction as a printing action shift direction by the belt 3 driven by the drive motor 5 to cut continuous paper 6. After the completion of a printing action of a printing part and a paper feeding, an electric current is applied to an electromagnet 4a, whereby the electromagnet 4a on the side of a permanent magnet 4c has the same polarity as the permanent magnet 4c. Thus, the electromagnet 4a is attracted toward a permanent magnet 4b (in the direction of an arrow A), and the continuous paper 6 is fixed by the paper presser 4 at and around a position to be cut. When the drive motor 5 is driven, the belt 3 is fed by the rotation of the drive motor 5, and the paper cutter 1 moves in a shift direction while cutting the continuous paper 6.

In this way, by fixing the continuous paper 6 near the cutting point with the paper presser 4 and separating the continuous paper 6 by moving the paper cutter 1 in the feed direction, the continuous paper 6 can be automatically separated. The continuous paper 6 can be easily and neatly separated even at locations other than the perforations formed in advance on the continuous paper 6 without the user having to separate the continuous paper 6 by himself/herself.
