る。(Prior art and its problems) Basically, the fixing mechanism in a PPC copier is to pass the toner transferred onto the paper between a heated fixing roll and an elastic pressure roll such as a rubber roll while applying heat. It consists in crimping and baking. In such a mechanism, when a paper surface with toner attached passes between a heated fixing roll and an elastic pressure roll, the paper itself adheres to the roll and wraps around the roll, preventing complete printing. Problems such as toner transferred to the copy paper adheres to the fixing roll resulting in double copies of images (so-called offset phenomenon) and equipment failures occur. Therefore, various studies have been made in the past regarding this point, but the final method has been to apply a mold release agent to the fixing roll and the elastic roll for mold release.

It takes time and effort to lubricate the roll, and too much mold release agent can solidify on the roll surface, causing unexpected breakdowns. Furthermore, if the amount of release agent is too small, the above-mentioned offset phenomenon will naturally occur, and the release properties of the roll surface will deteriorate, causing the paper to wrap around the roll. Incidentally, heat-resistant oil such as silicone oil is mainly used as a mold release agent.

In addition, he invented and applied for a patent on the following product, which has a simple shape, is very inexpensive, and is disposable.

である。 That is, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, in a fixing device that heats and fixes a toner image on copy paper 16 by passing between a fixing roll 14 and a pressure roll 15, both ends of the fixing roll 14 are heat-pressed or plugged, for example. The porous tube 7 of the polyethylene fluoride resin sealed by the polyethylene fluoride is brought into contact with the generatrix direction of the roll, and the mold release agent 6 is applied with the porous tube of the polytetrafluoroethylene resin. .

Further, in the porous tube, the pores other than the necessary openings from which the mold release agent is leached are filled with fluororubber or other material by, for example, coating. This is to make the discharge amount of the mold release agent a predetermined amount and uniform.

That is, a divided support was used to form a lumen with an opening whose width was smaller than the maximum width of the lumen, the supports were combined, both ends were sealed, and a release agent was placed inside. A polytetrafluoroethylene resin porous tube is held in the inner cavity with the part that will become the release agent leaching part protruding from the opening of the porous tube, except for the part that will become the release agent leaching part that protrudes from the opening of the porous tube. This is a release agent applicator in which the pores in the part are closed by contact between the porous tube and the inner wall of the support body. Note that a mold release agent is injected or sealed into the porous tube beforehand or afterward.

However, a drawback is that it takes time and effort to join together the divided parts of the support that supports the porous tube.
