Abstract

PURPOSE:To avoid defective printing, by drilling in a film, holes of the size not larger than a thermal element of a head and with the density exceeding the arranging density of thermal elements, and liquefying and flying ink filled in said holes of said film, said ink being solid under an ordinary temperature and liquefied at a temperature higher than the ordinary temperature. CONSTITUTION:An inkjet head 1 is provided not only with a printing heater 2, but with preheaters 3 at opposite sides of the heater 2. An ink ribbon 4 is, while it is being pressed against the inkjet head 1, moved relative to the head. The ribbon 4 is formed with holes of the size at least not smaller than a thermal element of the head 1. The density of the holes is set not less than the arranging density of the thermal elements. Ink which has the melting point higher than the ordinary temperature is filled in the holes of the ink ribbon 4. When the ink ribbon 4 is heated by the preheaters 3, the ink which is filled in the holes of the ribbon and solid at the ordinary temperature is liquefied. In this state, printing signals are transmitted to the inkjet head 1 to heat the printing heater 2, whereby the liquefied ink is made flying by the pressure of generated bubbles, to be adhered to a printing paper and, cooled and solidified.

In the conventional printer described above, if air bubbles are sucked into the ink flow path from the outside, the pressure required to eject ink droplets will be absorbed by the air bubbles, and ink droplets will no longer be ejected, unless some recovery measure is taken. A disadvantage is that the ejection of the ink droplets remains obstructed.

According to the present invention, the thermal head and the holes having the same size or smaller than the thermal elements of the thermal head are arranged with a density higher than the arrangement density of the thermal elements, and the holes are solid at room temperature and have a temperature higher than room temperature. An ink sheller l-printer is obtained in which the ink is liquefied and the fill is filled with ν.

Referring to FIG. 1, in one embodiment of the present invention, ink shellers 1 to 1 are provided with preheaters 3 on both sides in addition to printing heaters' and 2. As shown in FIG. 2, the ink ribbon 4 is not pushed into the ink sheller 1 by the spatula 1-1, but is moved relative to the head. The ink ribbon 4 has holes that are at least as large as the thermal elements of the thermal head 1, and the hole density ζ is set to be greater than or equal to the arrangement density of the thermal elements. The holes of the ink ribbon 4 are filled with ink having a melting point or room temperature (for example, about 50 to 200° C.).

By heating the ink ribbon 4 with the preheater 3, the ink that is solid at room temperature and filled in the holes in the ink ribbon 4 is liquefied. In this state, when the printing signal is transmitted to the ink sheller 1 to heat the printing heater 2, the liquefied ink is blown away by the force of the generated air bubbles and is blown onto the printing paper (not shown in the figure). At 1~, it is cooled and assimilated on the printing paper.

The density of this -7 ink on the ink ribbon 11, which is 5 mm, is the same as that of the printing heater 2.
Since the thermal element is rated at 1 to -11, there is no possibility that the ink will not be ejected at all, resulting in poor printing.

[Invention σ) Effect a [? As explained above, according to the present invention, the holes in the thermal head 1 having a size equal to or smaller than the thermal elements of the head are arranged at a density higher than the arrangement density of the thermal elements. This has the effect of eliminating printing defects by liquefying the ink contained in the filler, which is heated to a higher temperature than normal temperature, and causing it to fly.

In addition, due to the nature of the ink ribbon's use (limited to 1 times, or the printing method σ of the present invention), it has the effect of being able to withstand use 2 to 3 times.
