[Detailed description of the invention] The present invention involves attaching and fixing milled activated carbon to a coarse-grained fibrous material using a binder, and then attaching an adhesive film with a large number of holes to both sides of the fibrous material. It is an adsorbent with a laminated structure that is easy to handle, has excellent stability, and has low pressure loss.

Conventional adsorbents using activated carbon are generally used in the form of laminated layers of activated carbon (including activated carbon structures) attached to an air permeable or water permeable sheet material. .

In this case, binders, adhesive films, etc. are used as adhesives, but the adhesion between the sheet-like body and the activated carbon is not necessarily sufficient, and the contact surfaces between the two parts may peel off. However, there are problems with handling and stability, as some of the activated carbon is stuck to the sheet-like body and tends to separate, break, and become detached due to these. This was often the case.

More specifically, an adhesive film with a large number of holes is placed on both sides of a coarse-structured fiber material to which milled activated carbon is attached, and the adhesive film is crimped.
This adsorbent has a layered structure that further immobilizes the activated carbon and maintains its adsorption performance without compromising its functions.

As the fiber material, those with a coarse structure such as cheesecloth, gauze, net, paper, and foam can be used. Further, in order to attach milled activated carbon to a fibrous material, a method is used in which the fibrous material is immersed in a binder solution containing the milled activated carbon. Suitable binders to be used include glue, starch, and hydrophilic polymer compounds that have little effect on the adsorption capacity of activated carbon. Further, an adhesive film provided with a large number of holes can be attached to a fibrous material by a pressure bonding method. In this case, as shown in Figure 3, adhesive films are placed on both sides of a fiber material that has been fixed with a binder in advance, and the adhesive films are bonded to each other at various locations. By being attached in a cross-linked manner, the fiber material and activated carbon are fixed, resulting in an even stronger bonding structure as an adsorbent.

As mentioned above, the present invention uses an adhesive film to create an even stronger bonding structure.
It is an object of the present invention to provide an adsorbent with excellent handling properties, stability, and low pressure drop that does not cause desorption or destruction of activated carbon.
