2. Description of the Related Art Generally, when documents made up of a plurality of stacked sheets of paper are bound together, a binding device commonly called a "stapler" is used. In this method, the tip of the U-shaped binding needle penetrates the documents and bends them inward to directly bind the documents, so the number of documents to be bound is large and thick. In some cases, the bending part of the binding needle becomes smaller and the locking part becomes smaller, making it impossible to perform binding with sufficient strength. Since the needle was bent toward the side, there was a problem in that the needle would dig into the document and damage some of the documents on the back side. In order to solve this problem, the present applicant supplies a piece of reinforcing sheet to the back side of the document when binding documents to be bound, and binds the document to be bound and the piece of reinforcing sheet together. We have developed and filed an application for a method and device for binding documents in which the binding portion of the documents to be bound is reinforced. (Japanese Patent Publication No. 62-38157) This invention is an improved invention made in view of the same circumstances as the above-mentioned invention, and the first object of this invention is to use adhesive tape as the reinforcing tape, By attaching reinforcing tape to the paper, the reinforcing effect of the document is significantly increased compared to the conventional method. The second purpose is to make the document and the reinforcing tape more beautiful in appearance by integrating the adhesive, and the third purpose is to make the binding work by penetrating and bending the binding needle easier than ever before. This is what we want to do reliably and easily.

Next, a specific configuration of the reinforcing tape cutter mechanism 4 will be described. As shown in FIG.
5, a mounting base 26 slidably fitted to the guide rail 25, a rotary blade 27 pivotally attached to the mounting base 26, a pinion gear 28 for rotating the rotary blade 27, and a mounting base 26 for the guide rail 25. It consists of a rack 29 provided on the top surface. A drive gear 30 is coaxially attached to the rotary blade 27, and the pinion gear 28 is configured to mesh with the drive gear 30 and the rack 29 to rotate. At this time, it is desirable that the sliding direction of the mounting base 26 and the moving direction of the rotary blade 27 be perpendicular to each other, but at least the directions intersect with the reinforcing tape fed out onto the needle receiver 12. That is, when the mounting base 26 slides on the guide rail 25, the pinion gear 28 meshing with the rack 29 rotates and moves in the sliding direction while rotating the rotary blade 27. At this time, the cutting edge of the rotary blade 27 is slightly protruded through the narrow groove 31 drilled in the fixed machine base 1 to cut the adhesive reinforcing tape 15 that is being fed out onto the needle receiver 12. .

Furthermore, this cutter mechanism is configured to be interlocked with the operation of the handle body 7. This interlocking mechanism will be explained below based on the illustrated embodiment. A swinging arm 32 is fixed at a position a little apart from a pivot point in the operating section 8 of the handle body 7.
With the rotation operation, the swing arm 32 rotates,
Moreover, this swing arm 32 is connected to the mounting base 26 by a cable 33. Therefore, as the swinging arm 32 rotates, the mounting base 26 is pulled and slid.
The rotary blade 27 is moved while rotating. Incidentally, on the opposite side of the mounting base 26, a spring 34 having a tensile biasing force is connected between it and the fixed machine base 1, and returns the tensioned mounting base 26 to its original position. In other words, the cutter mechanism 4 does not need to be limited to that of the illustrated embodiment, as long as it cuts the adhesive reinforcing tape 15 as it approaches the needle receiver 12 of the handle body 7. Of course, it may depend on the structure and electrical structure. In the figure, reference numeral 35 is a floating holding plate having spring properties for holding the bound documents in a floating state, and this is for smoothly feeding out the next reinforcing tape. is a pawl for preventing the drive gear from reversing.

That is, in the reinforced binding method for documents according to the present invention, one end of the handle body 7 having the needle feeding part 10 equipped with the binding needle 11 is pivotally attached, and the needle feeding part 10 of the handle body 7 is attached to the needle receiver. The binding needle 11 is formed so as to be able to move forward and backward toward the needle receiving portion 12 of the handle body 7, and is fed out from the needle feeding portion 10 by approaching the needle receiving portion 12 of the handle body 7. When the handle body 7 is operated, an adhesive reinforcing tape 15 is inserted between the needle receivers 12 and has its adhesive side facing upward when the handle body 7 is operated. Then, the adhesive reinforcing tape 15 is cut to a predetermined length and adhered to the lower surface of the bound document A to be inserted thereon,
At the same time, the document A is bound together with an adhesive reinforcing tape 15 using a binding needle 11. This method involves feeding out the reinforcing tape, cutting it, adhering it to the back of the document, and binding together the reinforcing tape and the document A that has been integrated with the adhesive.
The idea is to perform this complicated process all the time by simply pressing the handle body 7, which is an extremely simple operation. In particular, the feature of this binding method is that the reinforcing tape is made of an adhesive tape and is attached to the back side of the document A. The binding needles 11 are usually made of metal and come apart one by one, and since they are intended to be bound by pressing and bending, instability inevitably remains during the pressing operation. Since a piece of reinforcing tape is further attached thereto, if it is separated from the document, the instability increases further, and the disadvantage is that the reinforcing tape part cannot always be sewn securely with the sewing needle. It was hot. Furthermore, even if the binding needle catches the reinforcing tape part, the direction of the reinforcing tape may be tilted, or the reinforcing tape may turn up, making the reinforced part or the binding part look unsightly. I often got used to it. In contrast, in the case of the method according to the present invention, the reinforcing tape firmly adheres to the document A to be bound, so even if external pressure from a binding needle etc. I never get upset. For this reason, it has become possible to perform binding using the binding needle reliably and accurately. Moreover, by adhering and integrating the reinforcing tape to the documents, the bound part becomes smooth and beautiful, and the strength of the bound part of the document itself is significantly improved, making the bound part smooth. Improved durability.

Further, a binding device according to claim 2 is a device for using the above method. That is, one end of the handle body 7 having the needle feeding part 10 equipped with the binding needle 11 is pivotally connected, and the needle feeding part 10 of the handle body 7 is formed so as to be movable toward the needle receiving part 12. By approaching the needle receiver 12 of the body 7, the binding needle 11 that is fed out from the needle feeding section 10 is bent and the needle feeding section 10 is bent.
and the needle receiver 1 of the handle body 7.
In synchronization with the operation of moving away from the needle receiver 12
A reinforcing tape supply mechanism 3 that feeds out an adhesive reinforcing tape 15 with the adhesive side facing upward, and a handle body 7.
This is a document reinforcing and binding device comprising a cutter mechanism 4 that cuts the adhesive reinforcing tape 15 when the needle receiver 12 is approached. Therefore, a person who uses the device according to the present invention inserts the document A to be bound between the needle feeding part and the needle receiving part, presses the handle body, and causes the needle feeding part to touch the needle receiving part. The adhesive reinforcing tape, which was fed out simply by operating it in the approaching direction, is cut to a predetermined length and adhered to the back side of the documents to be bound, and at the same time, the documents are transferred together with the adhesive reinforcing tape to the binding needle. It can be folded and bound. Then, when the handle body is operated in the direction away from the needle receiver, the adhesive reinforcing tape for the next binding is fed out onto the needle receiver in synchronization with this movement, preparing for the next binding. Arrange. In this way, this device can easily and reliably perform reinforcing actions such as supplying, cutting, and gluing reinforcing tape, and feeding out the binding needle and binding by penetrating and folding documents and reinforcing tape, with just one reciprocating operation of the handle. can perform an action. Moreover, the effects of this reinforcement and binding can be significantly improved by adhesion of reinforcing tape, and the process can be done aesthetically.
