Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily search an empty parking space by informing the space number of an empty parking space to a driver of an entering vehicle through a radio mounted on the vehicle or through the radio and a display. CONSTITUTION:The parking states of respective parking spaces are always monitored by a signal processing means based on signals outputted from respective sensors, and when only one parking space is empty, the space is selected. When plural parking spaces (P1, P5, P10) are empty, any one of them is selected and a signal 11 for converting the space number of the parking space into a voice is outputted from a voice composing output device 9. Entering vehicle detecting signals 6 generated from the device 9 and a photodetector 5 are inputted to a gate 12 connected between a voice output device 3 and the device 9. The detecting signal is also applied to a transmitter 14 and acts as an ON/ OFF signal for the transmitter. When an entering vehicle reaches an entrance and the vehicle is detected by an entering vehicle detecting means CS, the space number of a parking space to be parked at that time can be known through the radio mounted on his own vehicle.

A sensor is installed in each parking lot to detect whether or not a car is parked, and an audio output device (the main components are speakers), a transmitter, and a transmitting antenna are installed at predetermined positions in the parking lot. In addition, means for detecting entering vehicles was installed to inform drivers of vehicles attempting to enter of the empty status of the parking lot at the time of entry, either by the military's own radio or by radio and display.

A light source (4) and a light receiver (5) are arranged opposite to each other with a light source (4) and a light receiver (5) placed in between. Therefore, if the car C2 blocks the light generated from the light source (4), it is determined that an entering car is at the entrance. In addition,
A detection signal (6) from the light receiver (5) is given to a gate circuit and a transmitter, which will be described later. Note that the transmitter and transmitting antenna are omitted in FIG. Figure 2(a) shows the relationship between the audio output device (3) and its related devices.
