In view of the above-mentioned points, the present inventors developed an image-forming material (Utility Model Application No. 59-1983) comprising a water-insoluble polymer film having a tertiary amino group in the uppermost layer and colored to contrast with the lower layer. No. 133562, Utility Model Application No. 60-52162, Utility Model Application No. 60-52163, etc.) were developed. This image-forming material allows images with contrast to be easily formed without performing the complicated operations of the prior art. The imaging material could be processed by screen printing or stencil printing techniques, which required inks to patternwise apply citric or tartaric acid onto the polymer membrane.

[Means for Solving the Problems] Therefore, the present invention uses 26 to 40 parts by weight of hydroxypropylcellulose, 1.5 to 6.5 parts by weight of tartaric acid or citric acid.
An object of the present invention is to provide an image-forming ink having contrast, which contains 60 to 74 parts by weight of water.

[Function] The reason why hydroxypropylcellulose is used in the ink of the present invention is that, unlike carboxymethylcellulose or methylcellulose, the ink prepared from hydroxypropylcellulose can be printed continuously on many sheets without clogging the plate. In other words, when carboxymethylcellulose or methylcellulose is used instead of hydroxypropylcellulose as an ink, even though the viscosity is adjusted to be the same, when printing the image-forming material with these inks, the first to several sheets will be Although a good image can be obtained, the plate gradually becomes clogged and the image becomes unclear. It has been found that this is because the acid contained in the ink solubilizes the polymer film in the uppermost layer of the image-forming material, and as a result, the polymer film migrates to the ink layer and gradually clogs the plate. The reason for this is not clear, but when hydroxypropyl cellulose is used as an ink, the above phenomenon does not occur even if the ink is adjusted to the same viscosity as above, and good images are printed continuously on any number of sheets. be able to.

The blending ratio of hydroxypropyl cellulose, tartaric acid or citric acid, and water in the ink of the present invention is 26 to 40 parts by weight of hydroxypropyl cellulose, 1.5 to 6.5 parts by weight of tartaric acid or citric acid, and water.
It is 60-74 parts by weight. If the proportion of hydroxypropyl cellulose is less than 26 parts by weight, the viscosity of the ink becomes too low, which is undesirable, and if it exceeds 40 parts by weight, the viscosity of the ink becomes too high, which is not preferable. If the blending ratio of tartaric acid or citric acid is less than 1.5 parts by weight, the third
This is not preferable because the water-insoluble polymer film having grade amino groups is not completely solubilized and the film surface remains, and if it exceeds 6.5 parts by weight, excessive acid may damage areas other than the image area during development. Unfavorable because it dissolves.

Although the ink of the present invention does not necessarily have to be colored, it is easier to use it if it is colored. This is because if the ink is colored, the printed area can be easily confirmed, thereby making it easier to judge whether the obtained image is good or bad.
