FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a laser disk showing writing, erasing, and reading operations according to an embodiment of the present invention. (a) On the surface of a disk substrate 1 made of glass or plastic, a memory film 2 such as a shape memory alloy film such as Ti-Ni, a shape memory resin film, or a liquid crystal polymer film is applied to a thickness of several microns. Form. Furthermore, the memory film 2
An Al1 film or the like having a thickness of about 1 micron may be formed as a reflective film on the surface. Next, (b), as writing, the bit 4 is made into a hole with a diameter of 1 micron and a depth of about 3.00 angstroms as "1" information is written using a laser beam hv13 of high intensity. Of course, the bit 4 may have a convex shape depending on the material. Next (C), a weak laser beam intensity h V 25 is irradiated for reading, and "0°" or "°1°" information is read by the reflected light 6. In the next step (d), when it is desired to erase bit 4, bit 4 can be erased using hv37, which is a laser beam with a stronger intensity than hv26. The writing and erasing of information according to the present invention is achieved by dimensional transformation by phase transformation of a shape memory alloy film or shape memory resin film, or by orientation transformation in the case of a liquid crystal polymer film.

[Effects of the Invention] The laser disk according to the present invention has the advantage that it is inexpensive, has fast writing and erasing speeds, and can be written and erased any number of times.
