【考案の詳細な説明】
本考案はラツクアンドピニオン式パワーステア
リング装置の圧油ロータリーバルブ装置に関する
もので、その目的とするところはバルブハウジン
グのインポートからの圧油がバルブボデイの環状
油溝に流入する時、圧油の乱れによるピー音を発
生することを防止せんとするものである。[Detailed description of the invention] This invention relates to a pressure oil rotary valve device for a rack-and-pinion type power steering device, and its purpose is to allow pressure oil from the import of the valve housing to flow into the annular oil groove of the valve body. 式パワーステアリング装置の圧油ロータリーバル
ブ装置で、バルブハウジング1のインポート1a
からの圧油をバルブハウジング1内孔1bに嵌合
したバルブボデイ2外周の環状油溝2aに流入
し、更に環状油溝2aより半径方向に設けた4個
所の油路2bに流入した圧油を、ハンドル操作に
より回動するバルブボデイ2内孔2cに嵌合した
バルブスプール部分3外周に形成した複数の軸方
向の油路3aを経て油路3bよりリターンポート
1cに流入しシリンダー(図示せず)に選択供給
し、ハンドル軸を大きく回動した時ピニオン4に
噛合摺動するラツク5を該シリンダーの油圧で加
圧しハンドル操作を軽くするようになつている。
そして、バルブハウジング1のインポート1aと
バルブボデイ2外周の環状油溝2aとを断面円形
の通孔1dで連通しているが、バルブボデイ2の
外周には多数のパツキング溝が形成されパツキン
グ6が一定間隔で嵌合されているので通孔1dを
所定径以上に大きくできず該通孔1dを流れる圧
油の流速は8m/sec以上となり、該圧油が環状
油溝2aに流入する時流れが乱れてピー音を発生
する。このピー音はバルブ作動中のみならず中立
位置でも発生し特に通孔1dが油路2bと合つた
位置から約10度油路2bが回転した位置でピー音
は最高になる。このピー音を小さくするには通孔
1dを大きくして圧油の流速を小にするか又は環
状油溝2aを深くすればよいが、そのようにする
とバルブハウジング1が大きくなり、最近の小型
軽量化の傾向に伴つて部品も小型化するという条
件と反することになり、更にFF化、小型軽量化
と共にステアリング装置は更に車室に近づきハン
ドルコラムを通してこのピー音が車室内に伝わり

This beeping sound occurs not only during valve operation but also in the neutral position, and in particular, the beeping sound is highest at a position where the oil passage 2b is rotated approximately 10 degrees from the position where the through hole 1d meets the oil passage 2b. In order to reduce this beeping sound, the through hole 1d can be made larger to reduce the flow velocity of the pressure oil, or the annular oil groove 2a can be made deeper.
