Description
【考案の詳細な説明】
〔産業上の利用分野〕
本考案は、主に土木建設機械のキヤタピラーや
アイドラーホイール等足まわりの外部シールとし
て用いられるフローテイングシールの改良に関す
る。[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention relates to an improvement of a floating seal that is mainly used as an external seal around the suspension of a civil engineering construction machine, such as a caterpillar or an idler wheel.
従来、この種のフローテイングシールとして、
第3図に示すように、機体(図示せず)側に固設
されたカラー3の内周段部4にゴム材製の弾性リ
ング5を介してフローテイング状態で支持された
非回転の摺動環1と、前記機体から突設された軸
2に軸受(図示せず)を介して回転自在に外挿さ
れたローラ7の内周段部8にゴム材製の弾性リン
グ9を介してフローテイング状態で支持されて回
転する摺動環6が、その対向摺動面1′,6′にお
いて互いに密接摺動し、カラー3とローラ7との
間の隙間10から入り込む泥水等が前記軸受部分
等へ侵入するのを阻止するものが知られている。
前記弾性リング5,9は、それぞれカラー3と摺
動環1の間、ローラ7と摺動環6の間の気密を保
持するほか、圧縮に対する弾発力の軸方向分力に
よつて両摺動面1′,6′間の密封に必要な荷重を
付与している。

この目的を達成する手段として、本考案に係る
フローテイングシールは、各摺動環の外周面にお
ける若干後方へ偏つた部位にゴムやウレタン等の
弾性体からなる弾性リングを一体的に焼付接着し
た構造を備えたものとした。

た状態にあつて該部分のシールを行なうとともに
摺動環11,18を弾性付勢するゴム材製の弾性
リングである。該各弾性リング15,21は、こ
れと一体成形されたゴム膜16,22を介して各
摺動環11,18のテーパ状外周面11a,18
aに焼付接着されており、またゴム膜16,22
の一部は摺動環11,18の摺動面11b,18
bの外側へ延設されて、端部がカラー13および
ローラ19の端面に密接しかつ互いに密接摺動す
るダストリツプ17,23を形成している。前記
弾性リング15,21は、自由状態においては第
2図に示すように摺動環11,18に対してやや
後方(摺動面11b,18bと反対側)に偏つて
位置しており、装着時においては第1図に示すよ
うにカラー13、ローラ19と、摺動環11,1
8からの相対的な荷重によつて適宜前方(摺動面
