It has become extremely diverse, including professional-oriented projects such as film production and video production as art. Particularly when shooting with a professional video camera, image quality as well as the placement of the subject within the shooting range (hereinafter referred to as framing) are very important factors that affect the value of the work, and are taken into consideration during production.

This made it difficult to set the framing. Therefore, before shooting, it is necessary to check whether the desired frame can be obtained during zooming, and a huge amount of time is wasted on shooting.

The position of the variable magnification lens system 5 is detected by the position detection means 10, and the detection signal of the position detection means 10 is stored in the storage means 11 at a zooming position desired by the photographer by an external switch (not shown). Control means 1
2 is a comparison circuit 13 for comparing the detection signal of the position detection means 10 and the storage signal of the storage means 11; Control circuit 1 that controls motor 9
It consists of 4. Further, the storage signal stored in the storage means 11 is displayed on the EVFs without calculation of the shooting range by a calculation unit (not shown) in the video circuit 7.

Then, the detection signal of the position detection means 10 for detecting the position of the variable magnification lens system 5 is stored in the storage means 11, and the storage signal stored in the storage means 11 is further stored in the arithmetic unit (of the video circuit 7).
(not shown) calculates the imaging range and displays it on the EVFs. Next, the photographer performs zooming using a zoom switch (not shown) in the photographing range shown in FIG. When an external switch (not shown) is turned on in this state, the control means 12 controls the motor 9 so that the stored signal stored in the storage means 11 matches the detection signal of the position detection means, and the variable magnification lens system is turned on. Drive in the axial direction to the desired zooming position.
