Technical background of the invention Conventionally, in a mail processing system, paper sheets (hereinafter also referred to as mail items) are read by reading information attached to them, are sorted by a sorting machine based on this information, and are accumulated in each collection box. It is becoming more and more common. However, not all mail pieces have accurate reading information, and some mail pieces are unreadable or have no number written on them. It is difficult to collect them separately. Therefore, such mail items are not stacked in the stacking box, but are stacked in the secondary sorting and stacking section via a conveyor belt. The accumulating device of this secondary division accumulating section is constructed as shown in FIG. 1 or 2. That is, in the case shown in FIG. 1, a twisted conveyance path 1a is formed at the end of the horizontal conveyance belt 1 for mail P, and the mail P conveyed in a horizontal state is turned vertically and stacked horizontally. It is becoming more and more common. In addition, the one shown in FIG. 2 lowers the end portion 1b of the horizontal conveyor belt 1,
The mail pieces P on the horizontal conveyance belt 1 are stacked one after another in the horizontal direction with their front and back sides reversed.

Problems with the Background Art In the conventional method shown in FIG. 1, it is easy to take out the accumulated mail P, but it is necessary to twist the conveyance path at the end, and the configuration of the conveyor belt and rollers is difficult. As the number of products increased, there were problems such as the transportation condition became unstable and the products became expensive. Furthermore, in the case of the one shown in Figure 2, the stacking condition becomes unstable and it is troublesome to take out the stacked mail, making it particularly difficult to apply when the transport route has multiple lanes. There were some problems.

Purpose of the invention This invention was made based on the above-mentioned circumstances, and it is possible to easily take out the paper sheets accumulated in the stacking section, and to simplify the mechanism of the end portion of the conveying member. It is an object of the present invention to provide a paper sheet conveyance/accumulation device that is particularly suitable for multiple lanes, has an extremely simple configuration, and is capable of supplying highly reliable products at low cost. .

Embodiment of the invention FIG. 3 is a schematic explanatory diagram showing an embodiment of the paper sheet conveyance and accumulation device of this invention, FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the main part, and FIG. 5 is a bottom view of the main part. FIG. 6 is a perspective view showing another embodiment of the paper sheet conveying and stacking device of this invention. In each figure, reference numeral 10 denotes a paper sheet conveyance and accumulation device, which is arranged in a manual sorting and accumulation section or a secondary sorting and accumulation section in a mail processing system.
A collecting section 12 is provided on one side of the container. This accumulation section 12 is provided at a desired angle (60 degrees in the figure), and inside this accumulation section 12, an abutment plate 13 having a guide groove 13a in the vertical direction is provided at a predetermined angle of 90 degrees or less. It is held in the main body 11. Further, on the front surface of the abutment plate 13, a support plate 14 is provided which stands upright in a direction perpendicular to the abutment plate 13 and is movable back and forth along the wall surface. This support plate 14 is attached by appropriate means to an auxiliary member 15 that is reciprocally movable along the guide rod 20 and the guide groove 13a. This auxiliary member 15 is attached to a belt 17 driven by a drive member 16.
As a result, the support plate 14 is configured to descend sequentially according to the amount of paper sheets to be accumulated based on the detector 19 such as a reflective sensor, so that the paper sheets are surely accumulated. A conveying member 18 is disposed above the stacking section 12, and the conveying member 18 is configured to turn paper sheets upside down at an end portion of the horizontal conveying member (not shown).

次に上記のものの作用について説明する。 Next, the operation of the above will be explained.

Paper sheets conveyed by a horizontal conveyance member (not shown) are reversed by a conveyance member 18 disposed at the end of the horizontal conveyance member, so that the paper sheets are turned upside down compared to when they are horizontally conveyed. The paper sheets with the front and back reversed enter the stacking section 12 from the end portion of the conveying member 18, and
Its tip abuts against the abutment plate 13, and the entire body is accumulated on the support plate 14. The accumulated paper sheets are detected by a detector 19 made of a reflective sensor or the like, and based on this detection signal, the drive member 16 is driven, and the support plate 14 is moved depending on the paper sheets accumulated on the support plate 14 14 is sequentially lowered along the guide rod 20 and the guide groove 13a. On the other hand, the support plate 14

Other Embodiments of the Invention FIG. 6 is a perspective view showing another embodiment of the paper sheet conveying and stacking device of this invention, which includes a plurality of stacking sections 12 configured as described above in the horizontal direction. The lanes are arranged in parallel to form a plurality of lanes, and the other configurations are almost the same as those of the previous embodiment, so a detailed explanation thereof will be omitted. With this configuration, the stacking section does not become bulky, and many paper sheets can be stacked in a narrow space.

It should be noted that each of the above embodiments is merely an example, and it goes without saying that each member can be replaced with another member having the same function. For example, in the embodiment described above, the support plate is moved up and down via a belt, but the support plate is not limited to this, and may be moved up and down by a chain, a screw screw, or other suitable means.
Further, the paper sheets may be conveyed in either the transverse direction or the longitudinal direction.
