The matting agent and surface modifier contained in the watermark ink and the fluorescent watermark ink described below bring the surface condition of the watermark image 3 closer to that of the substrate 2 (the watermark image 3 and the fluorescent watermark ink) It is an adjusting agent for making the watermark images 4a, 4b and the base material 2 indistinguishable) and for enhancing the hiding effect (increasing the opacity of the ink).

Among these, foamed capsules, which are made by covering the surface of a chemical or physical foaming agent with a resin film, have good wettability with the vehicle in the ink because the surface is covered with a resin film, without impairing the printability of the ink. Moreover, it is excellent because it makes the surface of the ink film matte. In addition, when a foaming agent is used as a matting agent, the thickness of the watermark image 3 and the light scattering ability and unevenness of the surface of the watermark image 3 can be increased.
The concealing power of the watermark image 3 and its matching with the surface of the base material 2 are further promoted.

使用すればよい。 In addition, the surface modifier is a conditioner added to the ink to bring the surface condition of the watermark image 3 closer to that of the base material 2, making it difficult to see the presence of the image when observed under reflected light irradiation. Yes, pulp powder,
Selected from cellulose powder, synthetic resin fiber powder, and paper powder. This surface improving agent needs to be selected according to the type of base material 2. For example, when using natural fiber paper as the base material 2, pulp powder or cellulose powder is used as the surface modifier, and when using synthetic paper as the base material 2, synthetic resin fiber powder or synthetic paper is used as the surface modifier. Paper powder formed into a shape may be used as a surface modifier.

可能となる。 On the other hand, the fluorescent watermark images 4a and 4b are formed with fluorescent watermark ink, and like the watermark image 3, their presence can be confirmed only under irradiation with transmitted light. In this fluorescent watermarking ink, the aforementioned matting agent and surface modifier are added for the same purpose, and a fluorescent substance is also added.
The hue was adjusted to be the same as that of base material 2.
Therefore, the watermark image 3 and the fluorescent watermark images 4a and 4b cannot be distinguished under incandescent bulbs, fluorescent lamps, or sunlight, and can only be distinguished when irradiated with radiation that causes the fluorescent substance to emit light. becomes. In FIG. 1, different fluorescent substances are present in each of the fluorescent watermark images 4a and 4b. If this is done, the colors of each fluorescent watermark image 4a, 4b will be different even if the same radiation is irradiated, or the colors of each fluorescent watermark image 4a, 4b will be different only when different types of radiation are irradiated. This makes it possible to confirm.

Under these conditions only a colored image 15 consisting of normal printing ink is perceptible. FIG. 2B shows the state when the image forming body 10 is observed through sunlight or incandescent light, and shows the colored image 1.

FIG. 2C shows the state of each image observed when the image forming body 10 is irradiated with ultraviolet light while being exposed to sunlight or incandescent light. Under this condition, the fluorescent watermarks 14a and 14b develop different hues,
Under the conditions shown in FIG. 2B, what was observed as one type of watermark image is now observed as a combination of three different types of watermark images.
