雨機能が低い難点があつた。これに対し、第2図
に示すようなウエザーカバ103は、給気または
排気のための屋外開口端が防雨キヤツプ102で
包み込まれ、給気または排気が壁体の外表側から
行なわれるようになつているため、防雨機能は良
いが、空調換気扇の屋外開口端に装着すると、給

としてのウエザーカバは、壁体Wを貫いて屋外に
横向きに突き出させた給気と排気を同時に行う空
調換気扇等の給気路と排気路とを構成するダクト
1の屋外開口端2に接続し、実質的なダクト1の
屋外開口端を形成する接続口部材3と、接続口部
材3の開口端側を収め込むカツプ形の防雨キヤツ
プ4とを主体として構成されている。接続口部材
3は、ダクト1の屋外呈出部分の外周面に形成さ
れたねじ部にねじ嵌合によつて接続される、内周
面にねじ部を形成した接続筒部5の一端側に半径
方向に張り出す防雨フランジ6を一体形成した、
両端の開口した筒体である。防雨キヤツプ4は、
一端の閉塞したカツプ形の筒体で、その胴部の開
放端側はほぼ全周についてメツシユ7で構成され
ている。この防雨キヤツプ4の内径は、接続口部
材3の防雨フランジ6の外径より大きく、ダクト
1に接続した接続口部材3の外まわりを、間隔を
保つて蓋状に覆うことができる。防雨キヤツプ4
の支持は、ダクト1の外周に嵌め装着され、接続
筒部5の端面によつて壁体Wの外表面に押え付け
られる固定板8から突き出す対向する二本の取付
脚9によつて行なわれる。すなわち、取付脚9の
自由端にはねじ孔をもつ平面部10が形成されて
いて、防雨キヤツプ4の閉塞端面4Aに形成され
たねじ挿通孔からねじ11を取付脚9のねじ孔に
通して締結することによつて、内面が接続口部材
3に接触しない中立位置に防雨キヤツプ4が支持
されるのである。固定板8の取付脚9に支持され
た防雨キヤツプ4は、メツシユ7の自由端が壁体
Wの外表面に当接し、接続口部材3の防雨フラン
ジ6の全部と、接続筒部5の一部とをそのメツシ
ユ7でない胴部内に収め込んでいる。また、接続
口部材3の防雨フランジ6の開口端と防雨キヤツ
プ4の閉塞端面4Aとは、十分な間隔をもつて対
向していて、防雨フランジ6側の開口端は、防雨
キヤツプ4のメツシユ7で形成された通気部にお
いて外部と連絡しているのである。メツシユ7に
よる胴部は、給気用のダクト1に設けた場合には
実質的な外気の取入口となり、排気用のダクト1
