However, eyeglass frames made only of thermosetting resin have a tendency to return to their original shape when the thermosetting resin is heated to a temperature above its softening point, resulting in deformed shapes. There is a risk that
In order to prevent deformation, the temples and their ear hooks have to be thick, which imposes restrictions on shape and dimension settings, and also imposes large design restrictions.

In view of the above points, the present invention uses thermosetting resin to ensure that even if the temples and their ear hooks are made thin, the temples and their ear hooks have excellent springiness and tightness, and sufficient strength can be obtained. And, moreover,
It is an object of the present invention to provide an eyeglass frame that is free from deformation and has a high degree of freedom in shape and size setting.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned purpose, the core made of metal wire is work-hardened to make it more resilient, and one end of the core is heat treated to make it more flexible, and one end of this core is used as the ear hook part of the temple. Match the position of
A feature is that the entire core metal is embedded in a thermosetting resin and hardened and molded to form a temple.

are rotatably connected by a hinge 3. The front frame 1 is made of thermoplastic resin or thermosetting resin and is integrally formed with the pad 4 and the bearing part 3a of the hinge 3, and the temple 2 is integrally formed with the insertion part 3b of the hinge 3. At the same time, one end portion on the opposite side of the insertion portion 3b is bent to form an ear hook portion 5.

This temple 2 is made up of a core bar 6, a reinforcing member 7, and a thermosetting resin 8, as shown in FIG. This core bar 6 is made of a metal wire made of titanium or stainless steel, as shown in FIG. The straight part 6b of the other part is made to have high elasticity, and the reinforcing member 7 is made of reinforcing fiber such as aramid fiber or glass fiber as shown in Fig. 3. It is formed into a bag shape into which the core metal 6 can be inserted, as shown in FIG. Then, the core bar 6 is covered with a reinforcing member 7, and then the reinforcing member 7 is embedded in a thermosetting resin 8 and hardened to form the temple and ear hook portions 5.

With such a configuration, even if a thermosetting resin is used, the linear portion 6b of the core bar 6 provides the necessary springiness to the temple 2, and the one end portion 6a provides the ear hook portion 5 when worn. It has good fitting properties. When the ear hook part 5 is heated after molding and deformed into a shape suitable for the user, the one end part 6
The flexibility of a makes it easy to deform into a desired shape, prevents the thermosetting resin 8 from returning to the shape when molded, and allows the ear hook portion 5 to be maintained in the desired shape.

Further, since the reinforcing member 7 covers the core metal 6, when molding the thermosetting resin 8, the thermosetting resin 8 sufficiently covers the reinforcing member 7 and hardens. The thermosetting resin 8 prevents the core metal 6 from being exposed due to the deviation of the position of the core metal 6, thereby preventing the strength of the temple 2 and the ear hook portion 5 from decreasing or damaging the appearance. The specific strength of the temple 2 and the ear hook 5 can be made thin and lightweight. Moreover, since the reinforcing member 7 is formed by knitting it into a bag shape or by winding it in a spiral shape, it is possible to easily deform the ear hook part 5 into a desired shape after molding.

The present invention is as described above, and even if the temple and its ear hook are made thin, the spring properties of the straight part of the core metal and the flexibility of one end provide excellent spring properties of the temple and excellent fitting properties of the ear hook. , sufficient strength can be obtained, one end of the core metal is highly flexible, and after molding, the ear hook part can be easily deformed into the desired shape, and the shape can be maintained, allowing for freedom in shape and size setting. It is possible to provide an eyeglass frame using a thermosetting resin that has a high resistance to heat and can be made into various designs.
