置を備えた複写装置の改良に関する。

しかし、何れの形式の複写機であつても、カセツ
ト内の記録紙を使いつくした時に、警告を発し、
あるいは複写ができない旨の表示を行う以上の機
能をもつた複写機はなかつた。

本発明は、上記の記録紙ゼロのカセツトの取り

されたもので、複写機本体からの記録紙ゼロの信
号を受けて、カセツト交換装置のカセツトの移動
機構を利用して記録紙ゼロのカセツトをカセツト
交換装置外に自動的に排出するようにしたもので
ある。すなわち本発明は、複数のカセツトを内部
に収納する機構と、該複数のカセツトから選択し
て複写機のカセツト装着部にカセツトを挿入する
カセツト挿入手段を有するカセツト交換装置を備
えた複写装置において、前記複写機は、カセツト
装着部に装着されたカセツト内の記録紙の有無を
検知する記録紙有無検知手段を有し、前記カセツ
ト交換装置は、複写機のカセツト装着部へカセツ
トを挿入する方向と異なる方向にカセツトを排出
する排出手段と、前記記録紙有無検知手段が複写
機に装着されたカセツト内に記録紙が無いと検知
した時は、複写機に装着されたカセツトを取り出
すカセツト取り出し手段と、該取り出し手段によ
り取り出されたカセツトを、前記カセツト交換装
置外に排出するための排出口を有するカセツト交
換装置を備えた複写装置を提供するものである。
